Lana del Rey deserves to be praised. In my opinion, she could handle the heavy burden of carrying our stories as millennials, this broken generation that went through a lot in a world that just won't stop giving us a break. There's no one but Lana who trailblazed a path for younger artists to be brave and presents stories that don't necessarily fit in the box of "standard love". You'll find stories of death, depression, love, atypical relationships, abuse and etc. within the folds of Lana's lyrical contents. Had it not been inspired by what she does, I would have never been able to put out an award winning film out there, inspired by her song "California", talking about how she navigating through Barrie's depression. This is not about a young Woman dating an Older guy, this is about an Old man remembering what could have being the love of his life that die young. Lana is a Ghost that he sees everywhere. Prove? At min 3:39 the guy makes the cross sing when he sees her pass in front of him swimming. He grew old sad and lonely. Maybe wanting someone new but couldn't find anyone like her.

In many of her songs she says that she likes old men, it's not a secret (Cola refference). So, i think there is no special meaning behind this video. It's well known that Lana likes or at least she liked to have fun with rich,old men. Search through her songs and you'll understand.

I don't care about all the others, Lana IS the best thing that ever happened to music. The only reason she isn't as recognized by mainstream music is because people nowadays don't appreciate real music. They really don't. People are so unintelligent now, they wouldn't know art and creativity if it hit them in the face. That's why shit songs like Anaconda, Work, MILFS are so popular. If Lana were around years ago, let's say 60s, 70s. She would be HUGE, she would go down in musical history and become a legend. Lana Del Rey, i fucking adore you and your music. Around 4 years ago this song and the whole album changed my life, I even learned every song from the album on guitar. Now Lana is this only artist I listen to all day,everyday.I’m so glad she’s alive in my lifetime and I can’t wait to see her irl. Iv never stand anybody b4 lana, I even buy all the Murch and everything else she puts out, she just has a way with me. I LOVE lana and I love ultraviolance.
