A Sitcom about the writing staff of a TV/Radio-Talk show has been done before, BUT... I can't think of any fictional sitcom about the writing staff of a REAL show that actually is on the air has ever been done before. Hire everyone in this sketch to star in this new show. Please.

_The Jack Benny Program_ was about Jack Benny, the star of _The Jack Benny Program,_ and the trial and tribulations Jack has with his staff. Well it wasn't only about making _The Jack Benny Program_ but a large percentage of it was. IIRC your comment was also the basic plot of _A Prairie Home Companion,_ the movie. [ETA] Also _The Muppet Show_ was about backstage at the theater where _The Muppet Show_ was being put on.
