The Secrets of the Universe

The Secrets of the Universe

11 місяців тому

In an incredible first, astronomers have discovered what lies at the core of Mars. It turns out, the Red Planet isn't as lifeless as we once thought. Mars wasn’t always a dusty, barren world. There’s plenty of evidence that the planet was warm, had lakes of liquid water, and was habitable for a short period in its history. Astronomers had always wanted to know the reason behind this transition, and for that, they had to know what lies at the core of Mars. When the InSight lander started studying the planet’s interior, it discovered that the planet is still rumbling with seismic activity. Now, following a rigorous half-decade mission, InSight has granted scientists a clear vision of the Martian core.
So, how does Mars' core differ from Earth's? What methods did InSight employ to unveil the core of the Red Planet? Finally, and most importantly, what does it tell us about the future of our planet?
The 61st episode of the Sunday Discovery Series answers these questions.

For any rocky planet, not very different to the same size and mass of the planet Terra... The dynamo effect that produces a decent magnetic corona, that protects its atmosphere from any excessive stars radiation; normally is generated by a combination of its own axis spin together with the tidal effect of an at least 100 km diameter, moon companion. Being that planet Mars nowadays, only as about 20% of its previously magnetic corona and atmosphere as well. Because, even thought Mars currently spins around its own axis roughly at the same angular speed as the planet Terra... Mars as lost its main moon companion, previously called "Ceila," upon its last semi-collision with planet Terra. That just about 7M ago; got swallowed by the planet Terra and into the current Gulf of Mexico, increasing the mass of the Earth, by 1% and making a hard reset of the planet Terra biodiversity from about 7M years ago. To note that: apart from stupid lies; nowadays planet Mars, as 41% of the gravitational pull of planet Terra; 20% of the same type of magnetosphere; 10% of the same atmosphere and 17% of the same water reserves. Meaning that: if someone takes a stroll at sea level altitude, by the surface of the current equatorial regions of planet Mars, while using an asthma inhaler capsule, for once every 2 minutes. That person can stay out in the open in shorts and a t-shirt, for up to 15 minutes, without any risk of fainting or getting any excessive cosmic radiation dosage, as well.

that was amazing and thought provoking. basically its almost impossible to terraform the surface of mars if at any moment a solar flare could so easily flash out the life on the planet. it would then make it interesting as our technology advances if we as a species can create a large enough power source and replicate the magnetic field or at least magnetic shield to protect the planet in order to create and sustain life

Less density invites to drill and develop projects underneath the surface; used energy/heat and oxygen wouldn't leave 'out of grip' this fast. A protective layer against i.e. sunbeams not necessarily needs to be ozon and doesn't have to be placed miles away from the surface... i assume some heavy gases later even fit better to feed plants and create pressure. Only harvest wouldn't be this comfortable at first xD Sounds like 'down under'; to make an ocean on top one day...hydrogen from underneath, oxygen from plants on the surface.

Something happened on Mars and Venus either. They looked simmilar to Earth, and it wasnt 3-4 billion years ago, but much earlier. They were habitable just like Earth, but then something or someone caused fatal cataclysms on both these planets, since that Venus has extremely slow retrograde rotation around its axis, single day on the one hemisphere took 1 year on Earth, meanwhile the other side is in constant darkness with extreme sub-zero temperatures. This is the primary reason of its present poisonous thick atmosphere. On Mars, it was fatal impact of large planetissimal which created the Hellas basin, affected the inner core, and created vulcanic Tharsis crack on the direct other side of the surface. This event caused the instant death of the whole ancient martian biosphere with potentional humanoid civilisation

Maybe as we drift above the galactic plane the core is re-excited. The planets must radiate more heat than they adsorb from the Sun due to heat from the cores. This helps drive the rain cycle for planets like Earth. Maybe Mars does not have enough core heat to drive full genesis, so only minimal waters and flora would emerge. The key is if the galactic energies are are absorbed into the core and may create heat and new matter -- a fit for expanding planet theory.

An octomillions years...or a few seconds in God's time...give or take a few milliseconds...depending on how fast you are going...and your body mass vs plasma energy transmission happening in your nervous system. Send me your metrics and I'll compute it in just a second (God's time, of course)

I don't know much about science but I want leave my opinion here that " the orange tree which grow happily in high altitude like hill regions face a lot of problems if planted in low altitude like terai region. Human being are made up of different components which we can found easily in earth. Like our body components has relation with components that we found in surrounding of earth. If there problem come in single bond frequently we feel that either it may sick or stress or anything. So it is not possible to shift human to other planets

Has someone considered to place a superconducting drillhead on mars and drive it deeper by electromagnetic waves sent from space ? What does happen if I drill a hole inside a solid spheric structure (a planet), create an empty sphere at the bottom of the drillhole, put a super-light metallic ball inside whose movement only requires the spin of the spheric structure, cover the drillhole or wait until it is covered, and spin the spheric structure fast enough for hundreds of years.. ? Will there develop poles and would this spheric structure attract/absorb 'spacedust' ? ( Can this be simulated ? ) [ I dream of vegetable asteroids to produce oxygen ;P A major task should be to supply water and oxygen in space on demand without having to enter a planet.. ]

So Mars is like an insect body. Gooey inside, all through. Earth, rather, has an interior bone ball. (Apparently, IRON versus bone). Hard "bone" sphere inside. A sort of one-skeleton, surrounded by "blood" , molten lava.

FYI The concentric circles representing the layers is far outdated information. Look up what the Low sheer velocity zone is. There’s structure and different densities of lower mantle. 👍✌️

@@derrickcox7761 in recent years scientists have discovered these low velocity zones, described as denser than the surrounding mantle. These structures as they put it are throughout the mantle all the way down to the outer core. You really should look it up.
