This is so meaningful to me, because this is litrallz my situation all the time. Men see me as this beautiful thing that only nods to everything, but when they experience that I feel deeply, laugh and cry so hard, when they experience that I need comfort, that I hate being only seen like a body, then I'm too much. It hurts being only seen as beauty or body, when you're human, and have emotions so deeply. I hope everyone will be loved, just like a human. Thank you Laufey, this song captures my past experiences of years and years.

I heard this on Tiktok or Instagram (can't remember which one) from the lines "You took me for a fool. You stole my youth....Then killed my light." and immediately tears fell. I've been trapped in an abusive marriage for over 15years with my middle school sweetheart, my first love and who I thought was my soulmate, and though mentally I'm ready to go now, financially I can't afford to. I won’t go on a rant about hookup culture, but even if you’re okay with hookups, protect your heart. Make sure you can trust the person you’re sleeping with and your goals for the relationship align. Song of the year, I haven't heard or seen anything better than this. This may as well be song of the ever. Idk man. This song is the most beautifully crafted thing in human history. Deserves at least 200 Grammys just for the first second of the video. I think my sickness was cured after the 12th second so obviously deserves at least 1000 Nobel Prize awards just for that.
