I don’t know about anyone else, but usually when I play hide and seek, I don’t help hide the person I’m about to try and find. Defeats the purpose when there’s only two players. 🙄

She might not care for him but still not be a killer. She is obviously hung over and strung out here, which shows her substance dependence but could also impact her emotional reactions. (I can say, as an arthritis/headache sufferer, there are some mornings when if the police were interviewing me I'd be begging them for coffee and aspirin just so I could possibly get through the conversation.) Potential criminals should be assessed on the logic and accuracy of their stories, not the level of emotion they show when questioned.

I,m happy it worked out for you. Problem is that it's mostly the man who's arrested in domestic violence cases. Even if he's the victim and the one who called the police. It can even be used against him in family court in case of divorce or a custody battle. This is because of the duluth model. It dictates that not the one initiating the violence, but the one most likely to win a physical fight is marked as the primary aggressor. This is almost always the man. A restraining order might be a good idea early on. But better make sure you have a good lawyer. Because it might just as easily turn against you. I've heard from men who were attacked by a female partner, called the police, and were jailed themselves. Then they lost everything in family court and forced to pay their abuser. It's heartbreaking some of these stories from male victims.

I have to say, after a full 30 years in LE and now retired, the initial female Deputy did an outstanding job. So many times you never know when something turns out to “Just a death” or an actual Murder! She did outstanding, by restricting the area, evidence preservation, and limiting the (Suspect) who she not know was a suspect access. Many things done very well as a first responding officer!
