As Inter fan I would say that you should blame your expectations and team bosses: defence is solid in most of the games, the midfield too. But your flanks aren't well, especially when Calabria is out and Theo isn't in his best shape. The attack really lacks: Rebic plays in the second half of the season only, Leao disappears, Zlatan misses half of the games and Mario came too late to adapt in the team. Also players who usually perform well started lacking consistency (hello benaccer). Pioli is doing a great job, but in such constrains it's hardly possible to get a UCL spot, when Inter and Atalanta are complete teams that were being built for several years , Napoli and Juve have better rosters. The only comparable team here is Lazio and they are still behind, seems logical.
