Of course you can also deploy it to your own remote server. Most cloud providers support running JAR backends out of the box, so this is not much extra complexity.

I can imagine how much hard work it takes to produce this course, not only programming by itself, but also video editing it together, and film yourself explaning us how to do things etc. I think the price is fair for these kind of knoledge, I will definately buy the course.. Philipp, if we are not interested on KMM and never intend to migrate to KMM, what’s your preference over Retrofit vs Ktor and Hilt vs Koin. What would you choose if KMM wouldn’t exist? Would you choose differently to make your course? Bought your course btw and up to the build.grade chapter so far it rocks.

Not 100% sure what you mean here. You'll learn to build a phone app (main course) and a watch app (extension course). Both are separate apps that have to run on separate devices due to the different OS. You don't need a watch though to follow through it. You can do it all with emulators.

I look at the price of the Ultimate PL Course bundle which frankly is a huge chunk of my annual personal training budget but then I see what it covers and remember who the author is, compare it with what my company would be prepared to pay for a similar level of expertise and knowledge to deliver the equivalent material and it suddenly becomes a very cost effective no-brainer. As always ymmv 😄

It is multiplatform in the sense that you build apps for mobile and Wear OS devices :) Not KMP, but it's built in a way to migrate it with not too much effort.

Philipp if you want an advice, don't listen to people who says the prices are too high, you live in Germany and not only in Germany the inflation kicked in pretty badly, if you ask me your content is way above other content creators for Android, it's like buying a macbook for android dev.. you could get a cheap windows laptop and get the job done, but the experience is not the same (btw you also convinced me to buy that and I don't regret it :)) 😅 I think your courses worth the money, keep up the good job

Could you make a video giving examples of cases in which companies would choose to develop a native application (Android and iOS) instead of cross-platform frameworks? Seems like the coupon code ESSENTIALS is not working. After applying the coupon code on the right side pane, it shows the amount to be paid as 147 euros but in the payment plan section it still shows amount to be paid as 197 Euros only. Could you check and help?
