The set, in addition to having a large number of pieces, has a long list of minifigures, so for my taste it is one of the best Lego sets

Kind of weird there's no Gringotts. It has far more plot significance than almost all of the other buildings and has a more iconic and recognisable exterior (except maybe for Weasley's Wizard Wheezes).

Why would they include kid version of the characters when weasley's wizard wheezes didnt exist at that point? the minifigs should be the versions from Order of the Phoenix and older then

Hi, Tiago! I'm SUPER new to the Lego world. I am crazy about your videos. You walk us through the sets, and keep it all so interesting and informative. You do a wonderful job. I've only done three sets: the potions classroom, a police car and the Seinfeld set. I agree about the stickers. If you get it on perfectly, it's so satisfying. But if not-it's maddening. On the Seinfeld set, I got Jerry's front door sticker a little askew and it's all I can see. My solution is to keep his front door open, like Kramer just came bursting in. Thank you so much for your reviews. I hope soon I'm lucky enough to be able to do Diagon Alley!

Thanks Tiago, great review! This really is a great set but the price tag does gives me pause. I’m sure I’ll eventually get it. When it comes to the stickers I don’t mind them that much, I can see how they can become a chore after your 15th or 20th application. But for some reason I really don’t like the stickers that have prints of bricks. It’s kind of like those moments in movies that take you out of a movie, the prints of bricks take me out of the experience with the lego set. Might just be me :)

its weird how they have the figures from the first two movies, but they had the Weasleys shop here, which is from the later movies

I would love the shop with magical creatures that's also in diagon alley, the Magical Menagerie. But I understand that they needed to make it affordable and couldn't fit everything in. Besdes it is pretty forgettable, so maybe if they try to make another one, they might include it there, I hope! The build is still amazing though!!! It has so much to offer!

They better do a gringots soon as well. As a leaky cauldron we don’t have that either and these are both very big parts in the movie however, they are also a bit bigger so it makes sense that they should be their own individual set but where are they?

It kind of bugs me that the mini figures are not from the same timeline if you know what I mean. Like, all the kids are still little except for Fred and George, who are already running their shop. They just mixed two stories: the one from the second book including shopping in Diagon Alley, Gilderoy Lockhart and the Malfoys. And then they just threw in Weasley’s wizard wheezes from what, the sixth or seventh movie? I get that it’s an appealing shop to include, but come on…

Hi Tiago. Epic set, no questions about it, Marcos did a great job once again. The price is also great, 400 euros for 5500 pieces, great racio. It will be a source of inspiration for my mocs, I love to build modular buildings for my city with several details. The only thing I don't like about it is the number of stickers. It kind a get you on the pressure zone if you miss one with all that quantity and size. After several hours building you might be tired and still have to concentrate to apply them. I'm saving my money for another portuguese designer set, the Ideas Tree House designed by Cesar Soares, hoping to learn a lot from the former teacher ahahahah! Excellent review Tiago, you have focused positive and negative points of the build and that's great to see. Beginning in fashion your reviews !

7:17 @Tiago Catarino it means that every new set in LEGO has budget and designers has to keep it in mind while designing? How it is calculated? Is there a limits of usage of rare pieces? Do you know or have you heard about some cancelled or reduced projects of sets when you worked for LEGO?

This set looks awesome

I'm not the biggest fan of Harry Potter so it doesn't necessarily appeal to me all that much. Not too interested on the outside aesthetic on some of the builds as well despite the clever techniques used. As a fan of the Creator Expert and Ninjago City modular lines, this would make a great parts set for mocs.

I love this you did an amazing build love it

Its still my opinion that this set isnt as well thought through as it should have because its mixing 2 timeframes together... most shops and especially the cast (Gilderoy Lockhart) is in the setting of the second book while only the Weasley brothers shop is set in the sixth book... This mixup of generations is kinda off putting for me to be honest. instead of the weasley shop they should have added the goblin bank and maybe one or two goblin figures the rest shouldve stayed the same. So that way it would be rather a mix between the first and second book and the cast beein fully from the second

It sounds like he's saying "sanguine" to refer to a light green color. Sanguine is blood red.

I like lego, I really do, but what is the purpose of this? $400 for a few building facades with doll house level of play? Lots of minifigs, great, unique blocks, great. But when you have to justify as price per piece, maybe the price of pieces is too high. And I noticed in sets they'll use like 5 pieces to do the equivalent job of a 1x2 brick, so it seems to just be a way to make the number on the box bigger. Dont get wrong, I just spent nearly $400 on the Lion Knights castle, but thats a fully modeled set, with similar minifig count and a reimagined classic, but also i love castles. With the fandom of Harry Potter really tailing off amongst adults due to JK Rowling's personal beliefs, and the absolute cost of this set, sold like a toy, I feel it targets the wrong demographic. It either needed to be smaller and individually sold as a doll house toy set, or more grandly modelled to include those details like dragon alley and a twisting street, sold as more of an art piece and decoration, rather than toy. At its price point, it seems to promote as a luxury decor piece but function entirely like a mid-range toy set.

Dude you gotta zoom in and show they details of the interior more if you want to compete/stand aside the major lego review channels.
