His Oscars should have started with “what’s eating Gilbert grape”

She is a good interviewer; no interrupting. No asking another question while he’s still answering the last one. Leonardo is a good listener, too; you feel that he is engaged and interested while you’re talking. This interview gave me insights that made me love this movie even more than I already did.

As she sits and actively listens to him ;he realizes he is not going to be interrupted and really opens up. He becomes completely engaged and it becomes an energized conversation that pulls you in.

You can tell that this interviewer had Leo"s attention from the start... she was intelligent.. respectfull..classy and was very much interested in his work.. that's why he was able to give her such detailed responses .. He gave articulate and detailed responses, because of her interest. You won't see this from him in every interview about this movie . this was a one time thing.

Leo will go down in history as one of the greatest to ever do it.

Leo is a well-spoken and level headed person. I have a lot of respect for this man.

He's one of those actors you can trust to never be in a bad film, or rather, you know it'll be 10/10.

I trained Leo for that film. He is so dedicated and even though he “dislikes” training he would train harder than most.

That’s coming from a top of the food chain actor who gets to pick any movie he wants and could’ve easily avoided this movie and instead chose a monumentally easier location and script. Respect to Leo and his manicured hands for accepting the challenge

This film always gives me chills. The cinematics, the settings, the scenes, the acting. It is one of the best put together films ever. It show's the beauty of nature, life and resilience of us humans, in both nature and conflict. A beautiful piece.

He should’ve gotten an Oscar for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, Wolf of Wall Street, Django: Unchained and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

I love that Leo speaks so eloquently and makes it clear that he's extremely educated, but manages to do so without being elitist about it. I love him!

Most underrated movie in modern times, excellent story telling. Also brought light to a rough hard period in history.

For me, it was Tom Hardy's performance that stole the show. Leo was awesome as he always is. But Tom, he successfully made me despise his character like no other. The way he walked, talked, looked, and even the way he scratched his semi bald head...Man!!! I thoroughly enjoyed him.

I typically do not like celebrities once they start receiving so much praise and hype. It’s hard to tell who’s actually more talented, more genuine, more personable, etc. Leonardo is somewhat of a rarity these days. He’s always respectful, well spoken, humble and shows a deep appreciation for the efforts given around him to make his success possible. He’s one of the greats.

Leo seems to be so in love with his craft/ art in a world where people is craving for fame. He handled his fame well. Damn, I liked him.

I remember when Leo won that Oscar, I was a senior and the next day after Oscar night, all my friends and peers were watching the Oscar video and cheering him on, when you have high school kids in a very carefree generation rooting for him, you know you deserved that shit.

One of my ancestors was on that expedition. I remember my grandfather telling me about it before the first movie came out.

I watched this amazing film after my son had died. Never have I ever been so connected and moved by a film.

It still boggles my mind that Leo didn’t get nominated for Titanic.

The film was so immersive it felt like being there, suffering with characters. It’s a masterpiece with exceptional cinematography

Leo is such the consummate professional. He never wavers when giving so, so many different interviews. I respect that.

"I endorse films like this being made still." I completely agree. I love that Leo points out CGI films, and superhero films, and how we still need films like "The Revenant". These types of films, in my opinion, are so much more meaningful, and display the human experience in such a raw, unflinching light. I feel like the industry is so overrun with "throw away" movies. I absolutely have superhero fatigue. I seek out films like this, and think it is important that this type of work be supported. This is a film that has never left me, and for good reason.

10/10 interviewer. Giving all the space he needs to tell a full story without feeling rushed while she stays quiet but still engages via head nod. Hes brilliant and its lovely to see him to have come so far. But the thunder goes to her for giving such a open interview.

I absolutely LOVED this movie!! Leo deserved his Oscar. Movies like this are way underrated. I personally enjoy movies and scenery such as this one. I am so tired of Hollywood only doing super hero movies. I like the intense drama movies ones that tell a story and can make you cry. The cinematography in Revenant is absolutely stunning! Every one did a fantastic job.

Beautifully spoken. It's apparent how well spoken DiCaprio is. Just so nice to listen to a man with a large vocabulary. I don't come across many people like that in my everyday excursions through life and it's refreshing to hear that from him.

While I see this Man, always I find there is a true difference between a star and an Actor. Star always stays in the mind of the people where an Actor stays inside the ❤️ of the people. Leo is a national treasure. Good interview, and it was a great movie. My dad is a widower, and hard to get out of the house. I got him to come to the movies with me to see this when it was in theaters, and he said afterwards that it was his favorite movie ever. His previous favorite? Bridge on the River Kwai.

I think Leo has deserved his Oscar loong time ago, and I think most of us will agree about this fact. One of the greatest actors if not the greatest of his generations. One of very few thou that when I see him speak normally like this I just can't ,,connect" any single part of any role he has ever played with. His transformations on the screen are incredible, that's how phenomenal actor he is.

I have seen this movie around 6 - 7 times but nothing compares to seeing it for the first time and Leonardo's performance was utterly spectacular! It is a movie worth adding to your collection to keep and enjoy. I hope he works with that director again and makes another masterpiece of film making into motion pictures.

There have been a lot of Academy Award winning actors who worked very hard - physically, mentally and emotionally for the Oscars they've won - but I don't think there has ever been another actor in all of Hollywood's history that has truly, earnestly and fervently EARNED their Oscar more than Leonardo DiCaprio. With said, there were many other roles of Leos that where incredibly worthy of at least being nominated if not Oscar deserving. The fact that he has only been nominated TWICE throughout his entire career is just inconceivable to me. The first time he was nominated was for best supporting actor for his role in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", which to the shock and awe of many, he didn't win. The second time he was nominated, was for best actor for his role in "The Reverent" which THANK GOD, he won. There are all sorts of presumptions and postulations as to how or why he wasn't nominated for some of his other outstanding performances, but none of them have ever made sense to me. Every role that Leo has ever landed or taken on, he has poured his heart, soul and full-focused passion into each and every character that he's portrayed. He has this uncanny ability to really pull you in with such an intriguing captivation that you either compassionately identify with or care deeply about his character. There are of course other actors in Hollywood who can do this, but not with the same commanding influence that Leo is capable of summoning. He has had this extraordinary capability even in his earlier movies, from "This Boy's Life" and most especially to "Basketball Diary's" he has such a remarkable talent that can leave a lasting effect on you, even days later. (Or if you're like me, even years later. LOL)

Leonardo is a class act. And I think that's why he's who he is. He holds himself in high regard, but he never gloats, he never expresses conceit, despite his stature in the entertainment industry and the world in general. You can tell he's genuinely grateful for what he has. He's polite. He's thoughtful. He focuses on the art, and has healthy fun with the other elements that come with being a world-known and renowned movie star.

Without even contemplating the skill of the director and what the crew said about how hard it was to create, when you watch it you find yourself mind blown at how elaborate and difficult some the scenes and sequences were to make.

He gives a very respectful interview. I thought about this movie for many, many days after I saw it. He really lived it, great portrayal.
