After fearlessly revealing himself to Malvo, Lester Nygaard realized that he is in big danger. And now he tries to get rid of him. In order to achieve this, he had decided to go Acapulco and bought flight tickets but forgot to take with him. At the moment he is about to go and take them from his office where he hasn't been there for days and is feared from possibility of Malvo is there...

This is when Lester became truly repulsive. And this is only death from any movie or show that I felt truly sad for in my bones. People saying he was already a killer before this are wrong. There is a huge difference. His first wife belittled him as half a man loser, taunted him for years, even about sex. And he killed her in a crime of passion. Linda on the other hand adored him, supported him, told him her life story and how she always knew someone would save her and they were going to acapulco what a contrast from her childhood cleaning hotel sheets. In my opinion she was the purest character on the show. She even lied to the cop about Vegas for him without needing any other explanation from him like a true wife. And he sacrificed her right after she told him all that - as if the sum total of her life meant nothing to him, that killing an innocent loving person means nothing as a 'trick' to save your skin. Lester is repulsive and without anything resembling a conscience. Linda deserved an ocean's worth of happiness and the fact that her life ended like this makes me really really sad.

@@NormAppleton Linda was far from wonderful. She was in love with "power". Anyone looked a little deep into Lester would know who he is. She didn't deserve to die but neither his first wife. And let's not talk about what he did to his brother's family. They were all flawed characters and treated Lester bad but none deserved what happened to them. This is the point of this whole show. People are assholes but they don't deserve a monster like Lester. I am really surprised reading how everyone is OK with Lester until this point. He was always a horribel person

@@ubt3606 there is a life lesson there. Whenever you see a woman dominating his man and showing no respect, it is usually the man that allows this shit to happen. Look at Lester. He lost all his manliness. Same was true for Skyler and Walter. The woman will fill in the power vacuum the man is not willing to fill I recommend men to read no more nice guy. I dont agree with the author for all he says but he makes an important point. If you put your boundaries, women will respect you. If you let them walk over you, they won't respect you. Same for men btw. This is not red pill bs. Just facts As for she asked for it part, she was challenging Lester to be a man, take up the role of a man in her wicked way (she was a wicked woman). But Lester who never took any initiative his life decided to go to other extreme and killed her. It was him who made that woman walk over him. He could just slap her and get the fuck out of her life. Nobody asks for dying. It is bs.

Weird take on this… Malvo is preternaturally deliberate and unflinchingly detached/distant from the impacts of his every action. He lingers outside the murder to make prolonged eye contact with Lester, just to show Lester just how powerful that mindset is. Because for Malvo, in killing Linda, he’s essentially cuckolded Lester by proxy. Lester’s every bit the psychopathic murderer as Malvo. But his frantically nervous and cowardly emotional constellation cause him to misfire, to rush, to ready, shoot, aim. Always too quickly - always leaving a mess. Lester ultimately needs to be emasculated, as much as Malvo needs to emasculate him. Malvo humiliates Lester by showing how a real murderer does things. The kicker; Malvo lights up using a “Zippo”-style lighter, not a disposable. Everything about that lighter is premeditated, as was Malvo’s selection of Lester as his target/cohort. That commitment requires planning and maintenance; possessing and regularly and carefully refilling its lighter fluid, occasionally advancing and trimming the wick and (rarely) replacing the flint. Owning that lighter also means one is careful not to lose or leave it behind somewhere.

Asian women have all sorts of different character traits, just like women and men of other ethnicities. Thinking like you do sets you up for failure if one day you meet an Asian woman and want to date her, because you'll have expectations based on stereotypes. I've dated a few Asian women, two of them were tough & wild and not your definition of "kindhearted", one was super chill but complicated - all three told me the same thing about how a lot of Westerners treated them as if they were submissive dolls with no personality of their own. does not matter what your excuse is. it is more about your nature. lester was basically a spineless miserable little coward - and size is not an excuse! deep down he would have harboured deep hatred and resentment for everyone (i conclude this based upon is behaviour throughout). in any case it is clear from the depiction that he was a heavy weight psychopath - no remorse whatsoever sending his second wife to her death. interesting character depiction of a man with absolutely no redeeming features. whom you grow to despise more and more as time goes on. even when he was allowing that big bastard to bully him i had little sympathy for him. it is the responsibility of every man to stand up for himself. you have to make that decision. learn to box, wrestle, karate, bodybuilding, whatever works for you. at the same time develop your mind and attitude and will yourself to be strong with courage. everyone can do it, it just takes work. no excuse. he was a nasty little cowardly psychopath lets face it.
