My mother tried to use the Red Cross to contact me when I was wounded in Vietnam and determined that they are a lost cause.. My mother being British and a new US citizen used the power of her state representative to push forward.. She contacted Senator Roth of Delaware who called the Pentagon and connected with a general who called my mother and then the hospital in Vietnam during my recovery.. After that time my parents never again donated money to the Red Cross and neither do I now. I also served as a special ops soldier and find it ridiculous that they could call these pows elite.

I feel sorry for this POW. His story is interesting. It might be a bit dangerous to tell it here because the day he can return home he might be asked, why he criticized things openly. For the first time, I heard someone say he was upset that his wounded comrade was left behind. Thank you again. Red Cross has a lot of red tape!!!! I appreciate these videos. To hear what many Russians believe and say was an eye opener for me. I don’t know any Russians and had no clue about how the majority thought on many topics or how their military worked. Actually I was shocked at first. I’m against the invasion of Ukraine and I totally support Ukraine. Even so I can’t help but feel bad for those that were mobilized. I have extreme disdain for their government, the FSB, those that support the war and the creepy Wagner idiots!

Seems to me that the Red Cross needs to have those who are responsible for the organizations laws or bylaws to read them themselves. Over time, laws tend to take on new meanings on their own, and may conflict with both newly enacted laws and laws that have been in place for decades. There needs to be, if there is not already, some type of over site or annual review of laws to be sure the interpretation is clear and that they don't conflict with laws that are similar not in name, but rather in what defines them

Why isn't the Red Cross insisting that they be able to visit Ukrainian POWs held in Russian captivity? Obviously there is a reason, and this reason should concern you greatly, along with the entire "civilized" world. Your "work" should not be "one-sided".

Je pense que c'est important de comprendre les motivations des soldats d'envahir un pays souverain. Le monde entier dois comprendre les façons des politiques pour enrôler les gens. La façon traditionnelle qu'espère la croix rouge ne fonctionne pas, puisque personne ne tire de leçons d'une guerre depuis des temps anciens. Ces archives vont être étudiée par nos descendants et peut-être qu'ils pourront prévenir les débuts de guerre, comme la pauvreté, le manque d'éducation... Merci Dimitri pour ce bon boulot.

I think that doing things like you do i's totaly fine. The rules were made long before facing war time in correlation to social media nowadays. Do not blame you for anything but I think it's probably way more problems for the red cross to visit prisinors of war in russia. After all they do not want to be used for propaganda. They should reconsider their statements

The Red Cross is all about the money. 2/3 of the donations go to the administration, not to the work. They want to keep getting those cushy salaries. You have opened a window that could put them out of business. They are redundant in our current age of technology. Do your research and donate directly to the local charities. In war or natural disaster relief, there are local charities that will spend 98% of your donation on the children, the pets, the elderly, the disabled, whomever you wish to support. Keep up the good work! 🇺🇦🇺🇦

Most “Charities” use 90 percent for administrative fees and 10 percent goes to the cause. It’s exactly why you see so many “nonprofits” pop up.

only 10% goes to paying there 18k workers they have 275k volunteers...they receive the hgighest ratings from all the watchdogs...and u cant do certain things as a small charity that the redcross can do with there 3 biliion $ annual spending...theyre actually rlly efficient...i agree with letting them post these videos...i think there taking what the redcross reported way to serious as well

You need to do research on how much the administration makes. There are many charities that give a larger percentage of donations than the Red Cross. Those of us that watch the UKpostsrs donate directly to military units so they get what they need and get it sooner than waiting on all the red tape. Just because a lot of us don’t give to Red Cross doesn’t mean we are not supporting Ukraine!

I have no problem with it. I think the Red Cross are ineffectual in this conflict to say the least, and there is so much information about how they use their funding, that I certainly have very little trust in them anymore.

I agree with what you are doing here with the interviews and I agree with the why and how. I do take umbrage though with the way you denigrate the Red Cross who have only the welfare of people in mind. You cannot chose which rules of civilisation you want to adhere to and which ones not. If Red Cross take issue with this, you need to work with them on a solution not sit and slag them off or show them in a bad light. Red Cross help everyone regardless of nationality remember that. I am not Red Cross fanboy, I have my issues with them such as religious affiliation but he point still stands.
