What I always liked about Lewis every since he came into F1, was his “never give up” mentally and those aren’t just words. Dude literally kept the engine going for over 10 minutes while parked on the gravel, hoping the stewards would come to his aid and so they did and he was able to continue the race. And the other reason is that he went straight in business. He wasn’t there to play games, he was there to dethrone the man who beat the legend and in a way, he achieved that. Grew up with him and tbh, the most exciting F1 seasons I’ve seen were all seasons were Lewis was a contender till the end. Whether you think he’s a GOAT or not, it doesn’t matter to me. What’s the obvious is that this man is a living legend and I’m proud to have lived on his era.

I 've been following F1 since I was a kid, 7 years old, now I'm 33 and I can say, I've never watched a driver like him my entire life. This man is absolutely incredible, he's a legend. Thanks Lewis for bring us so much happiness on Sundays, so much positivity and inspiration in life. You are more than a driver, I hope you know it. A big hug brother, from Brazil.

Whatever happens over the next two races, enjoy this. We rarely get to see two drivers put everything on the line every race going blow for blow like a 15 round heavyweight boxing match. This season has been movie material. One of the greatest drivers of all time going for a record breaking championship vs a prodigy who was winning races before he was even officially an adult. Hollywood couldn’t write a better script for this season, and I’ll always remember it.

people like lewis can show that there is something that we are all capable of doing with the right mindset. now thanks to lewis and his inspiration i am finally pursuing my dream of being a mechanic in formula 1

He came from a middle-class background, with no special advantage. He remains the only person of colour to ever drive in Formula 1. He's still pulling off unbelievable drives at an age when most F1 drivers have either retired or have lost their edge. He has the courage to fight for diversity and speak out about what matters, even if it makes him unpopular. He has won a race in every single season of F1 that he's competed in. He's a seven time world champion, on par with Schumacher. We've been all fortunate to witness such a legendary driver, and fortunate to witness him battle head-to-head against a driver who looks to be every bit as brilliant.
