LiDAR with Arduino - TF-Luna Sensor

In this video we will go over how to use a LiDAR sensor module with Arduino. Specifically we will use the Benewake TF-Luna as the basis for this video. We will learn about the basics of the sensor, how to connect to an Arduino UNO and a NodeMCU, how to program in Arduino, and we will test it and show the results.

Thank you very much. I have learnt from you too much. I make project using microwave motions sensor to detect human behind the wall . Is there anyway to measure the distance of the human from the wall while moving. Appreciated

Cool video man. I'm building a bot for an all ages stem course I'm teaching for a non-profit. It's in my drawer of arduinoesque sensors you can't get 6 pieces for 10 bucks. Is it worth looking into you think or buy one of the better ones while I can still send this one back? I'm currently finishing up the bno055 visualization data in vpython to see if I need it. What a time I had getting that bno. Made me brush up on my math though haha.

My code is going into print status and the status is "I2C-WRITE" do you know what I'm doing wrong to get that? I double checked the cable connection

The sensor itself measures distance. I have another video on this channel showing an example project for 360 degree coverage with this sensor, which is like the first step in mapping.

Hi. Thanks for watching! The main transfer of information is being done via I2C communication. The ESP 32 supports this via GPIO 21 and GPIO 22. Therefore it is possible. You still need to make sure you properly power the sensor.

Are you saying you are leaving pin #5 disconnected? If so, that means that you are using the sensor in Serial port Communications mode instead of I2C mode. In that case, you shouldn't connect the sensor to the Arduino I2C pins.

also I amplanning to use two lidar in one arduino uno, can I use the hardware serial and the software serial? for themboth to work
