Aerosmith did it, Run DMC did it, Bodycount, Anthrax and Public Enemy did it, it was a natural cultural evolution. A lot of metal heads back then loved rap too, lyrics used to talk against the police, against racism, street stuff like skateboarding. What other genre had those lyrics? Hardcore punk. I loved limp bizkit back then, but also hardcore punk, gangsta rap, metal and hard rock in general. Nowadays people are too close minded, ive seen a lot of hate against limp bizkit, but you had to be there to understand what it was, DJ Lethal is in this band, like wtf! cant get better than that.
