So growing up as a little kid in Miami, this was like the default music on the radio on the most popular radio station, and I would sometimes hear their interviews from New York. So I thought every American was listening to this music. Could you imagine my shock when I started traveling and nobody had heard of Freestyle and told me it was a hispanic thing. I also had no idea I wasn't white until I had to fill out a census lol

Freestyle was a “right of passage” growing up in my native Bronx, NY. Freestyle was started by Puerto Rican Bronx born Artists. They were incredibly talented and their music made a lasting impression on my generation. This song brings me back to my teenage years in the late 80s & 90s and I miss this music. It was a landmark in our era.
