Welcome aboard mate. In the shotty I am running 27 pellet SSGs from black hawk ammo and in the 30/06 I reload but prefer a well constructed 150gn projectile from speer, hornady etc.

It's called a model 1887. They make replicas. The Chinese one is about $300 and Chiappa makes a nicer one for around 1000 I think

I use torches from Olight Australia mate, see the link below. The Adler shotty has a Pica tinny rail so I use that. On the 30/30 I use a magnet that holds the torch straight onto the metal magazine under the barrel and on the 30/06 I use a clamp that has a nut n bolt through the middle that tightens up on the scope and torch at the same time. Thanks mate yes I normally use buckshot mate. If you are slightly off aim using slugs then you will slightly miss, whereas the buckshot will still pepper and often kill the pig with a slightly off aim.

the 12 pellets mate as this has a 'curtain' effect across the boar. Too many times pigs will get away wounded as the gaps between the 4 pellets is too great especially as they hit the target out 30 to 40 meters.

I actually use Black Hawk Ammo which has 27 pellets.

In Australia the feral pig is a feral introduced pest. They threaten our native flora and fauna so we hunt them to keep down the numbers.

We ride around 50km a day hunting I suppose mate. There is an electric bike made in NZ which are good apparently. Forgot their name though.

Hunting with Stu UBCO, yeah that’s the one I’m looking at. It says 120km range at 40kmph all day. My problem is the 6-8 hour charge. NP with solar panels but the extra battery is $3K + . Love the idea, but perhaps not quite there.
