This is not just visually stunning; the unmistakable charm of Lyon is wonderfully captured! For those unfamiliar, the Lofi girl calls Lyon, France, her home, evident from the glimpses through her window in the lofi stream. Particularly at the video's outset and conclusion, the iconic Fourvière hill takes center stage, adorned with its basilica and metal tower. Being a visitor of Lyon myself, I must say it's a fantastic city, and I'm genuinely impressed by the accurate portrayal showcased here! Absolutely marvelous work!

I am currently studying in Poland, 1200 kilometers from my home and since I am a boy and I am 18 years old, I cannot go back. I also come from a poor village, so my parents don't have the money to come to me at least on holidays, because of which I'm always lonely and I try to fill this loneliness by studying. It's terribly painful to be in an empty apartment for the holidays, reading a synopsis or doing homework, but now when I'll listen Ligi Girl, I'll feel like I'm not so alone

I have no idea how we got to the point where a simple background music with looping animation evolved into original artwork and now into a stunningly produced animated work like this! The team that put this together did an astonishing job and I hope they were well compensated for their time and work because it it STUNNING!!

That story hit me hard. It's kinda sad to realize that while you're in college or somewhere out of your parents' nest (home), there will always be a good memory lane to travel. I can actually feel Lofi girl's feelings and emotions while thinking about her family back when she was a kid. That makes you realize that TIME has flew faster than you think.

Woah....did I just see lofi girl bumbing synthwave boy?!!?!?!?!?? We need a part two of this!!!

When I was first introduced to the Lofi Girl channel, I never expected it to "leave its desk", so to speak. Most lo-fi stations stay stations, with no growth or expansion involved aside from a channel continuing to upload more music and themes to their playlists. So it's rather surreal, in a good way, to see this particular station stray from the norm and develop an entire world around their hub. It's been fun watching the little updates over the years, from the artist redoing their work in places... to the holiday themes changing each year... to the store opening... to Synthwave Boy being introduced... and even to our girl getting some well-needed rest. I was expecting the two to run into each other at some point, and we already got a nice tease of that here, but I appreciate that they made it more than that and wrote for the girl an entire backstory. Wasn't expecting that. I'm pleasantly surprised. I hope we get to see more beautiful animation and fun surprises in the future, along with the calming music that keeps bringing us back to the station on those days where we really need to take a breath and chill.

Absolutely beautiful from beginning to end. Seeing our beloved Lofi Girl since she was a wee lass, seeing her parents, and seeing her playing outside with her kitty companion, all of them warmed my heart. The Synthwave Boy cameo was a nice touch. Wait, why am I crying?!

It's amazing how well thought out this animation is...😭😭 When the Lofi Girl disappeared from her main stream, about 20 minutes later the picture was updated and in addition to the girl herself, one notebook from her desk disappeared. At the beginning of the animation, when the girl is sitting on a bench, she holds the same notebook in her hands. And at 2:48, this notebook falls from her hands due to a collision with Synthwave Boy. I suspect we'll soon have another animation showing how Synthwave Boy and Lofi Girl met, as the same notebook is currently on the stream in the same place it was

The first song in 1am study session... I remember listening to it for the first time when the video was new, then fell in love with Lofi in an instant.

That animation was genuinely fantastic, heartfelt but also inspiring to me personally, props to all of the animators who spent time to make it.

People have already said so much about the animation, and the meaning behind it, there's really not much I can add in that regard, it's simply fantastic! What I can say is how surreal it feels to see the city I live in, Lyon, being animated in such a manner, on an internationally recognised channel! Fun to be able to recognise the locations as well! The bench she sits on at the beginning doesn't exist in real life but the doors and windows behind actually do and the panorama from there is spot on! The stairs of the "Grande Côte" she walks up at the end are real too, although the view of the city at the top has a little more trees in the way. . . . With that being said, the walk from the non-bench to the stairs is about half an hour long, which means she cried for a while 😢

From a Chilled Cow, to a precursor of promoting an obscure musical style subtrend, to becoming _the face_ and _the symbol_ of the word "Lofi"... This channel has come a very long way; now with its own lore... Gotta thank the person taking care of it, whomever you are at the other side of the internet. Some how this has been the first song to play in my lofi playlist every time . At this point its so comforting. Like a warm hug waiting for you everytime you need it .

After coming across the Lofi Girl all the way back during the Chilled Cow years, I never think I'd be so invested in the Lofi Girl lore let alone see her leave her chair, have everyone excited for this cinematic release, seeing her and her cats younger selves, seeing her interact with her father and mother, finding out she got her red scarf from her mom, and 2:47 bumping into Synthwave Boy while walking down the streets, even if they didn't talk. 0:18 I can relate all of this, since I enjoy winter with the memory flashbacks, building a snowman ☃️ ect. Along with 2:47 realizing those simpler times have passed, loved ones no longer with us, and you can't go back, but 3:01 on winter nights I look up at the winter sky and reflect on life and remember those always the happier memories to look back upon on years gone by. My theory: 0:18 With the snowflake handing on Lofi Girl's hand reminding her of a precious memory of her parents from her past. Her receiving her icon red scarf from her mom, playing in the snow with her father and building a snowman and snowcat and realizing at 2:47 they is all in the past and either her father is gone now (or both parents) or she's just living far away on her own now and misses those times with them. But, remembers at 3:01 she'll always have that happy memory of her mother and father that winter night.

This animation hits close to home.. The holidays will be upon us soon and while its a happy time for some of us, there are those out there that struggle.. this year is going to be super tough for my family as we lost our mom just two days before christmas, and i can remember walking out to a very snowy night shortly after.. beautifully done animation, Please remember to check on your friends and loved ones this holiday season.. ❤️

I remember listening to lofi for the first time. Started out with that one channel that was using a character from wolf children. It ended up getting taken down, then Chilled Cow popped up. And the rest is history. Can't believe how far this channel has come! ❄️

I’ve been waiting for something like this for years. I’ve always looked at Lofi girl in her lonely study and been curious about her. Every new video has broadened my understanding just a little bit, and I’ve always enjoyed seeing more of her seemingly cozy and peaceful life. How long has she been there, why is she alone, what is she writing, and why is she so diligent in her study? These questions have always bubbled in my head, and strangely enough I’ve never been bothered by the lack of answers. I’ve always found peace in the distraction of just wondering what could be. Over the years lofi girl has become something of a friend and a confidant, like an imaginary friend that I never grew out of. As someone who struggles greatly with communicating with people, I’ve often used her as practice, saying things out loud to see if they sound right. I still sound sarcastic when I don’t mean to, but “c'est la vie”. Anyway what I’m trying to get to through my rambling, is that I am very happy to see her world expand. I’m looking forward to seeing what else there is to learn. You will always be ChilledCow to me, and I will always be grateful for your channel and music. You will never know how much a simple animation and some mellow music has helped me through the years. Thank you.

Life is so beautiful but it isn't beautiful without the pain and unavoidable departure we have to face with our loved ones in our eventual end. this made me feel a lot more emotional than i thought, honestly. i've listened to the 1 am study session lofi and it begins with, you guessed it, this track. seeing this one piece of music that i've basically grew with, expand even more and giving it a much deeper meaning, just makes it feel like something else, y'know?

I do not usually get attached to specific lo-fi songs, but something about Snowman has really stuck with me since this video came out.

Not only is this beautiful, but we can clearly recognize the city of Lyon! As for those who don't know, Lofi girl lives in Lyon, France as illustrated by the view through her window on the lofi stream. But here, for instance at the beginning and at the end you can clearly see the Fourvière hill, with its basilica and metal tower! I live in Lyon and it's a great city, but I'm truly amazed by how well it is represented here! Amazing stuff!

Wow... I never expected the Lofi Girl to have such a backstory, but this is just... amazing! The animation is a masterpiece, the story is well-written, the pacing is fantastic! I sure do hope we get to see more of the Lofi girl.

ngl this music video perfectly describes the emotions i get from this song. i used to listen to this song in the spring and summer of 2021, when i was grinding in school, working hard on assignments to improve my grades and preparing for serious exams later in the year. everytime i listen to this song, i am always reminded of that era of time and how much my life has changed since then. this music video perfectly captures that feeling. in life, even the smallest things can remind us of a time from the past. those times are unique because they are special to us in some way. they are special because they represent a time when we were much younger, when we were happy, when we had something we don't have anymore, or something else. for me, the spring and summer of 2021 was such a memorable era because they represented a time when life was memorable. i mean, i dont know what it was, but i had some really great friends, i was playing a video game which, at the time, was really fun, i was working a lot on my yt channel, i was watching some great youtubers and their memorable yt videos, and a lot more. fast forward almost 3 years, and almost all of those things aren't the same. but this song reminds me of those times every time i listen to it. reminders like this song, as bittersweet as they are to remind us those times no longer exist, still fill us with happiness knowing we made those times, in some way, memorable.
