The Lomachenko vs. Lopez telecast begins at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT and airs on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The 10-round junior welterweight co-main features former world title challenger Alex Saucedo against unbeaten contender Arnold Barboza Jr. In the eight-round ESPN-televised opener, super middleweight knockout sensation Edgar Berlanga tests his perfect record against veteran Lanell Bellows. Berlanga (14-0, 14 KOs) has won all 14 of his professional fights by first-round stoppage.

Horrible translator, he got wrong the part about "running your mouth in Ukraine". What Lomachenko said, was if you go on insulting people in public, then you can get a very quick reply by force. He is wrong, however, about the law. You cannot just beat someone up and "walk away", but people do fight often. While in US, people often can insult one another in public, yell at each other, without actually backing up their words.

I think you`re wrong. Loma is the best fighter i have ever seen (and that includes Sugar Ray and Willy Pep) the only one that can compare is Salvadore Sanchez (shame he died so young) but he`s still a class above him even. However whilst Loma will take Lopez apart piece by piece by piece and finish it around round 7, do not underestimate Lopez. He`s damn good or rather will be in about 2-4 years. if anything the lesson he`s going to learn will make him even more formidable and a better fighter. When Loma lost (well got cheated) to Salida he learned more in that fight about boxing than most if not all of his victories. That loss (sorry fix) made Loma.

A fighter should be able to go into a fight with a clean mind knowing that this will be the one and only time he will have to face that fighter. I'm looking and listening to loma...I have Never Ever heard of a multiple belt champ say they will TRY to take another dudes belt. Loma, in his 15 fights has been resolute in saying he would win every fight...from Linares, Walters to Campbell...he was gonna win. This time, after seeing the size of Teofima, I think he's not sure if 100% skill is enough.

I think it will go the distance, with Loma out punching him on points and able to dodge his power, but you are absolutely right in that he knows he can't go toe to toe with Lopez. He was obsessed with his "biceps and triceps" in the promo episode. While he was saying it tounge in cheek, I think there is some geniune underlying fear that he can't outpower this guy.

His boxing IQ would win him the fight...but it he can't make Teofimo flinch...respect his pop, skill won't matter. I mean, look at Jarrett Hurd that dude is a punching bag fights skilled guys and except for one time was able to win...while being a punching bag. Dude Loma knows he can completely out class a guy easily but if that guy is just too big and too strong he(loma) will start to tire sooner or later...at that point...he has to survive until he gets his 2nd wind.

8:35 this is just an age old promotion idea that is overused this "it's personal" deal. It doesn't work. what does work is a fighter actually claiming that he is an american fighter, being proud of that and promoting it as U.S. vs. ______ but no one wants to do that anymore because our society, and a certain political party, are obsessed beyond measure with people's skin color and "blood" Ruis was the most embarrassing as he continuously said "I'm Mexican" carried the flag, even though he never was from Mexico, never had to grow up in their awful system, never had to run away from its corruption. He's a freaking american. Then there is Lopez who insists on this Honduras thing. Why? Because he didn't qualify for the U.S. olympic team and Honduras wanted a medal so they finagled the Olympic Committee to allow him to fight for their country because his Mom and Dad were born there. My prediction: -If Teofimo don't ko Loma in the first rounds I think that maybe he will take a Nomaschenko but with his speed and punch power Teo will knock Loma just like Jorge Linares did but this time Loma wont get up, a got to this conclusion because Loma keep his hands down when he is making the matrix to a fighter just like Jason Sosa or Nicolas Walter fights he gets over confident. Pd: I like Loma but Teofimo is so hungry to win and Loma is just relax.

Teo is faster than Linares, friend, I know that Loma has the best fights with the best fighters below 130 pounds but he belongs there not above that weight because Loma is a natural 130 and he feels comfortable there, now Teo is a natural 140 and adds the fact that Teo is fast and has hitting power on 140 and 135. Loma will feel the weight and hit of a 140 practically and it won't be easy just because of Loma as it is not 135 fighter this is not a skill fight it is a volume fight you have to realize that it will be like Spence Jr vs García but with a knockout in favor of Teo

@@sr.triste5509 Loma has 4 fights at 135lbs, 2 knockouts and 2 unanimous decision. Teofimo couldn't even knock down Juan Pablo Sanchez who had been knocked on 6 times in 19 losses. Teofimo couldn't even put Nakatani down once but Loma put Campbell down and was about to finish him when Campbell literally tackled Loma to the ground lol Teofimo needed 7 rounds to knock out Magdeleno when I've seen nobodies put him down in 2 rounds. And Teofimo was landing big shots on that bum Magdeleno and still needed 7 rounds.
