@SenshiSunPower3 роки тому

@ArtemisScribe3 роки тому
@@theeutecticpoint yeah they are ring-necked parakeets, there have been feral parakeets living in parts of London since as early as the 1830s but most are descendants of what are known as the "Kingston Parakeets" who established a sizable colony in Richmond Park in Kingston-Upon-Thames and then spread through South West London up into the rest of London throughout the 20th Century. There's a lot of urban legends about them being Jimi Hendrix's escaped pets or other such stories, but almost all of the stories come after the first known sightings of birds in the Royal Parks. It's a combo of escaped pets and birds stowed away on cargo ships, and for some reason the ring-necked parakeet is an invasive species that really thrives here.

Central London is a great touristy area. Even as a local from the outskirts (South-west, near Heathrow), when I head into Central to look around it's great. Normally in December I'd have gone with my parents to look at the Christmas lights and the tree in Trafalgar Square that we get given every year from Norway. Best thing to do though is to go to some of the really touristy areas, but dive off down a side street somewhere. You never know what you'll find. Explore the less travelled areas, and you'll see a whole different side to London.

That's part of the wonder of this video. I'll never experience a snow day from the top of The Shard, but Grey brings that experience right to us.

Hearing Grey kinda monotone voice switching to the voice of a child filled with wonder was the best part of the video. Just hearing the genuine enthusiasm. Thanks for sharing.

Honestly, I love this as a little change of pace from your usual videos. Your informative videos are great, But I'm so glad you consistently find ways to mix it up, which is why i have been subscribed since 2014

In Canada we don't have snow days because we wouldn't have any school for 4 months of the year.

Indeed: the closest we had to them where I live were in 2007 and 2020, when blizzards made it difficult to go anywhere. London honestly looks like a typical Canadian city at the start of winter.

Can confirm, we only have snow days on particularly bad days, tho what we here in ontario consider bad someone in alberta is like "hahaha you weaklings"

We got a day off because of freezing rain or if there was like over 30 cm of snow that morning.
