Many of the performers and past winners have performed professionally for many years, some have even won other shows. Where's the line that you say "you can't enter", I haven't seen one. You imagine that she is somehow big and famous because she was the voice of a song from a movie lip-synced by an actress. Or perhaps because she has put a record, done cameo's on a few shows or as you said, she has lots of followers. I see nothing there that many of the other acts haven't done. Judge the acts on their talent, if you think someone is better, so be it, be appreciative of the talent they share with us, not whatever story or struggle you might imagine, their talent should define them.

I agree, but add the unpopular opinion of whether she's been in the background or not, she's already in Hollywood and to me qualifies as a ringer and shouldn't be on a show meant for everyday people to be discovered. AGT is worse last season they had a guy on who for years had been in several popular movies, then took time off and wanted to come back...the guy already had a huge career.

Loren is one of the greatest singers of all time and a consummate professional. Every cover version she has sung that I have heard has been better than the original. David Foster had Loren and Pia Toscano sing Tell Him, Loren sang the Barbara Streisand part and Pia sang Cèline’s part. They were absolutely brilliant and Loren was perfect.

Her voice really does feel in a league of its own, almost like she isn't a contestant, but a gift for us to listen to.

@@2012inca I AM an American and know who knows who she is here...she sung on a few "specials" AND NOT a HOUSEHOLD Name in any way shape or form! I pray she wins BGT...because her voice is angelic!

Not only did she sing lyrics on The Greatest Showmen, she duetted with Michael Buble and went on Tour with Andrea Bocelli, she is ALREADY FAMOUS, as another comment pointed out she has a Spotify and has even won a Grammy too. Simon probably invited her onto Britain's Got Talent so that he can have an excuse to sign her onto his record label, wake up it is a fix.

I used to hang out with her family when we were way young, before her singing days. I moved and life happened, but I must say she does have an amazing family, and it's been fun to see her bloom over the ears. I'm looking forward to seeing her succeed.

Loren Allred is already a succesful professional singer with a career in America who performed together with other famous singers, maybe we should invite Shakira and Rihanna on BGT as well. They did the same with the singer Glennis Grace on Americas Got Talent. They made Glennis Grace out to be a poor struggling single mom with a lovely personality who had to care for her little son and desperately wanted to get a career to get out of a tough situation. Glennis Grace has been a famous professional singer for decades in the Netherlands that can sing with the same voice of Whitney Houston. She earned more than enough money to buy a 2 million euro house, so not struggling at all. And her little son, is not that little. He is a teen and a menace according to people in his neigbourhoud. Simon has pretended multiple times on BGT he didnt know a contestant who he has judged on Americas Got Talent multiple times. For example there was an Australian man with a red beard dressed as a woman singing on AGT with a very good voice, he went on BGT with his amazing voice, Simon pretended he did not know him. Just look up Ginzilla. P.s. Loren Allred went on BGT and not on Americas Got Talent because lots of Americans would have recognized her from singing on The Voice after which she got fame and fortune and later on in her professional singing career performed together with different famous singers. Simon did an amazing job pretending he didnt know her, Loren already said in an interview Simon and BGT contacted her to come sing imnthe UK. BGT and Simons record label are all about making as much money as they can. There have been very good singers on Got Talent shows who said they wouldnt sign a contract with Simons record label and they made them finish 5th or 6th place on purpose. @@2012inca Chris, regardless of everything you just typed....she is an INCREDIBLE talent that is very unknown to most people. This BGT audition got her a huge audience, including me, and I give her all due respect and admiration for her talents. I watch her incredible audition everynight and she is SO inspiring to me. I am behind her 1000% regardless of how she got to this point in her career. God bless her!

Let's face it she looked good last night because the rest were crap.

“Exactly in line with all the Hollywood singers…” How is she the same as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé etc? Did you know anything about her background before the show or did you have to Google her to find out she’s just like the “Hollywood singers” ??… True she was the voice of huge song but did you have any clue who was singing it? She also independently released original music, which means she’s not signed to a label like all those Hollywood singers.

Show producers knew their rules and what are best for the contestants. Professionals (at whatever employ they got) are allowed at certain shows according to show or program rules. The audience may vote for their winner as required. It is for talent to exhibit and attract the audience. It is competition as they say and the entertainment is delivered. For professionals of the chosen art and skills, market competition for fame and fortune are difficult. Only few who got the luck to break the market and attain fame. If one pro artist who really have talent and not able to gain fame or fortune, why sleep or just rot in the chosen cave? Why wait for Weinstein or any promoter (with business connections) who exploits? Entertainment involves guts, bravery to face obstacles, gossips (negative and the positive) and got skin to repel or absorb various criticisms. Amateurs have all their right to compete. Let the show and their rules decide. (Let it be known that professional athletes from NBA and WNBA, 121 of them, were allowed to compete in 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Anyways that's IOC rules and decision.)
