Today’s story gave me goosebumps. My grandmother grew up in Arkansas, she was born in 1884. She and her brothers and sisters were raised on a farm in the Ozarks. She started telling me about the “big hairy people” when I was a little kid. She said they would come and take eggs from the hen house and always seemed to know which hen had quit laying, and would take it. They would also occasionally take a hog, and if one of the cows came up lame, it to would disappear. My Great Grandfather had two hunting hounds and my grandma said they always knew when the “big hairy people” had come by, because the hounds would be hiding under the house and wouldn’t want to come out. Her family would also see the Bigfoot’ prints in their garden. Her d ad wouldn’t let her or her siblings go into the forest alone or without him, not that she ever felt threatened, he was just taking precautions. She and her family moved to Greenville Texas around 1902. That’s where she met my grandfather and married in 1909. I always enjoyed my grandma’s stories, and she said after moving to Texas, she never had anymore interactions with the “big hairy people”.When she told me those stories, she never referred to them as anything other than “big hairy people.” I never heard the word Sasquatch or Bigfoot until the late 1970’s or so. It was after grandma had past way. She would also tell me stories of her house being haunted when she was growing up, but that’s a whole different thing.

I notice that Bigfoot love to throw rocks at intruders but i noticed it's never directly at a person the rocks always land few feet away, so Bigfoot either has horrible aim or they don't want to hurt people they just want to scare the intruder so he or she will leave the area. There is stories of small rocks being thrown on tents or vehicles but never directly at the person. Personally I think Bigfoot are like humans, some might be really nice and others really mean.

I talked to a lady who is half Cherokee Indian and I cant tell you everything she said for privacy reasons. But she did say that they are never "mean." She said they are HURT or have been and are the ones who are simply unforgiving of "mankind" even though they are a form of human themselves.

I don't know all that much, but it seams there is 2 kinds that can be friendly. The big 9-12 footers then a smaller 7-9 foot ones. From what I hear then big ones seams to be out west in the mountain rang. With the smaller ones being out east in them valleys. Allot of the native nations call them things like "harry tribe" so I think they are more closely related to us then animal..... Now the ones with red eyes and fangs. They sounds more like the group that is known as a Yettie/abominable snow man, and them being in North America. Never heard of them as being nice..... I think his buddy was trying to act as a buffer from the guy writing the story and the one with fangs...I am sure the guy writing the story may have saved his body's life. I think the first kind may hold there own 1 one 1, but the smaller ones from out east would need to be in a group as they are not strong enough by them selfs.... I feel the throwing rocks near, but not directly at is there way for saying "stay away, your getting to close." If they wanted to do harm, there aim would be deadly putting a baseball pitcher to shame.....

We really enjoyed this story. While munching on some strawberry cheese cake. That is one brave police officer,to confront something that big something that could easily take you out in a second. Glad he didn't shoot it thought, and could use his weapon in a way to deescalate the situation. There is a saying " the bigger they are the harder they fall." Cheers!

If you’re using eye color to distinguish good kind from bad kind, isn’t it too late if you’re close enough to the bad kind to see the color of their eyes? How about the smell? Is that a distinguishing feature that you could use to get out of their territory before inciting an attack from the bad ones?

From the years of stories I've heard, I believe there are at least 2 types of BFs. One is curious and may be friendly if not threatened. Another hates humans and has no problem eating you much like a polar bear. Their lifespan may be 50-60 years. Some are 100% natural with amazing abilities. Some are able to do things that we would label as supernatural. It's just 1 opinion but I hope this helps.

I've heard a report of someone seeing at least two types at odds with one another; one type having a supernatural "stealth" or camouflage ability, that they could turn on and off..the other being the enormous, Harry and Henderson type- which was the aggressor. The former was in a large clan/group, while the big guy was solitary- members of the clan were injured and killed trying to fend off the larger- which was dropped by a hunter who had been asleep in a tree stand before the commotion; one shot through the face with 30 06 ( in my neck of the woods - our drawl sounds like ; thirty ot six 😉). Needed a tractor and some chains to get it in a hole- and didn't tell folks because he didn't want the supernatural beings to be hunted if people found out about them. Then there are other people who claim the only ones they have encountered are the supernatural type..and others who only see the plain as day ones..not sure if they're all living in all parts, or if their territories only overlap in certain areas.

Oh Nancy ..you are a great voice and it's so relaxing to hear you read these encounters. I don't remember when I first found the #sasquad , but it hasn't been all that long. I have listened to these encounters and way back in 1975, I was 10, I remember twice being overwhelmed with the fear feeling. It was so bad it froze me in one spot and I couldn't think which direction to run in. It lasted an eternity it seems like, but was maybe 10 minutes tops. I was deep in the woods along Caney Creek in New Caney, TX. The road was Baptist Encampment Road. That road went about 3 miles deep into the East Texas piney thickets and ended at a summer camp carved out on the bank of Peach Creek. I've never seen Sasquatch. I don't ever remember smelling any rotten smells that I couldn't locate the source. But I definitely remember that fear. Recently, living in the Northern Appalachian mountains, I came home at midnight after working and stepped out of my truck. I live on the bank of the Canisteo River and my property is 10 acres going to the mid line of the river. So that fluctuates from flood to flood. Well on this night, as soon as I stepped out of the truck I heard a heavy splash in the river. The water was still high from the flood we got from TS Fred in August and I had been checking for any trees being cut out of the far bank or my bank. I immediately got that all over fear and I was back in 1975 as scared as that little boy I was then. I had prickles all over that stung my skin and my scalp tightened up and released twice as the wave of adrenaline hit me. I again froze and stared into the black night. In a few minutes it was gone...the feeling of fear. Once again, I hadn't caught a sight or a scent. I'm not one to go looking for trouble, but the next morning I had to walk to the river about 100 yards and check for that downed tree. There wasn't one. There should have been because the water had receded enough that a tree that made that big of a sound hitting the water...should still be there. I still have my head on a swivel

Eerily enough I spoke to a lady who is half Cherokee and she told me quite a bit about who she called "the hairy man." First and foremost, they are indigenous people who simply choose seclusion. They love marshmallows. But best of all...they are NEVER mean. She said the ones we perceive as mean are actually "hurt" and simply unforgiving due to something they have seen at the hands of mankind. She also said they are intuitive spirit readers and react to what they see in you. So a bad person most likely will get a bad experience with them. A good person will get a good response.

From what I’ve discovered, there are several types of Big Foot. The ones with the anger and red glowing eyes hate humans. The others feel a close connection. My precious story on here, “ Big Foot Saved my Life” proves my point. Ironically the flood in that story was nothing like the one that just hit 4 weeks ago. We lost our place of 50 years and 6 people lost their lives. There was no warning. Some of the stories bring tears to my eyes as I have had many encounters with these creatures since a child and I love them. They know me somehow as if I’ve been marked. I know our government knows of them and for some odd reason won’t acknowledge their existence. Just as well, may they be kept safe.

Yes, I agree with you. Most of them are not agressive and are peacefulI. But they are fearful of our weapons and unpredictability. They feel that their forrest and lands were given to them forever. I just hope our government is protecting them and not experimenting on them. I puzzle over this .

That was a face eater, those kind of Bigfoot’s with the fangs are cannibals and enemies of normal Bigfoot’s. Prob a rogue one, maybe was kicked out of his tribe, and your buddies couldn’t just move on to a safe new territory, they had to confront him and keep that area bc of their awesome human friends who come to visit. That’s my guess!! This was fascinating and amazing!! I hope there’s more encounters to come from this person!!👍💯👏💛

That was a sweet story. We always want to humanize, anthropomorphize most unknowns. Idk if out of fear or trying to find common ground, for acceptance, communication.

What a beautiful gift this man has been given. I would be happy for only a single look. He has an entire lifetime of interactions. I've believed Sasquatch are real for most of my life. I was 11 when I read about the Patterson Gimlin story and have been enthralled with them since that day. I'm now 43 years old. I love that people are finally starting to open up about their experiences without the fear of ridicule. I would give anything to have one myself. 😔

Great story & experience!!!!! Man......what I wouldn't do to be a blade of grass while all that was going on. WOW!!!! You are truly lucky to have had so many positive experiences with the "BIG🦍FELLAS". I hope your experiences continue to happen & I pray🙏 that we as caretakers of this beautiful planet learn to cohabitate with these wonderful specimens, even though we know very little of them. It just goes to show that us humans aren't as smart as we would like to believe. There are many more wonders just waiting for us to discover them.........i just don't think we're mentally ready to accept it yet. Thanks for the story & may GOD🙏BLESS you & yours!!!!!

truly an epic story. paints the reality in an undeniable way. both humans and sasquatch get harassed by certain 'types' with similar DNA yet very different origins. and it's a lot more complicated than just that. it's possible that the skirmish had something to do with human relations, but i'm not sure about that. but this kind of thing goes on. the forest world is hugely deep and complex. sasquatch and dogmen sightings are only the start of what is happening on this planet.
