It was always my intention to eventually release both of these stories as a combined track - since one follows the other - but recently I had a lot of requests to do this because people were queueing the two stories but receiving an advert between them, so I thought I would bring forward the release. I hope it helps those of you who take longer to fall asleep!

These sleep stories have brought me so much joy and helped my insomnia. I have ME and nothing has helped with the inability to sleep and the low mood this illness leaves me with sometimes. I now listen to the same sleep story every night - a peaceful day in the shire. I love the relaxation, visualisation , soothing sound effects and meditative music used within the story. I literally feel like a happy hobbit taken to the shire. It’s bliss. I also have the best sleep - I’m almost disappointed when I fall asleep and miss the end of the story! Thank you so much for these. You are providing people with much needed sleep, relaxation and happiness. Thank you!

This is my “go to” sleep aid. I’ve been using it for a year now. I love it all but especially the start, when walking down the gravel path in the sunshine to the rowing boat, etc. Only problem is I almost know it off by heart now. 😄 Anyway, thanks so much for these. These really help calm my over-active mind at bedtime. This is the best thing about UKposts for me. Brilliant. 👏🏻

These are truly my absolute favorite bedtime stories... I listen to alot but this one in particular is familiar and really takes me to this beautiful place and I really appreciate his voice and how he isn't telling the story to a Lil child lol.. he simply tells the story with a soft calm demeanor and it keeps mem you attention moreso on the story and my attention isn't being taken away from the story itself cuz he knows he doesn't need to use an animated voice to tell a story to an adult. I truly love and appreciate it.

@@juliegraham7740 I'm sorry to hear this Julie, I only ever put one ad at the very beginning of a video, never in the middle and never at the end, as that would completely defeat the purpose. Be sure to double check you haven't got "auto-play" on, as this will automatically start a new video and subsequently a new ad. But if you have that switched off, I am not sure what's happened, it could be a UKposts fault or something! Sorry again that you were disturbed, but just so you know I would never place ads in the middle/end! :) x

I needed to take a nap this evening as my head was frazzled after a hard day at work. When my brain gets frazzled in this way my anxiety kicks in and i get bombarded by intrusive thoughts, so I use relaxation videos to help me sleep which in turn resets my brain. Within three minutes of starting this video I'd drifted off for a nap. I woke up feeling a little easier. Thank you.

Anybody else adjusting the playback speed on these like I do? 1.25x is my favorite pace for this channel because I turn to these vids for relief from racing thoughts that keep me awake at night and speeding it up slightly works wonders for me! 1.25x is still slow enough to be calming, yet just quick enough to overshadow those swarming thoughts. Anyone else do this? Or perhaps go slower? PS- This channel is wonderful and so are all of you other sleepy cats! purrrrrrr

Thank you, Bonnie! :) I sometimes make my own SFX, but at the moment I don't have the best facilities to do this so I usually use YT Audio library, or find a free SFX elsewhere, and then I try to blend it into the track as best I can! I hope to one day create a BTS video showing the general process I go through when creating a story, but that won't be for a little while x

Hi Devon, thanks so much :) I would love to create an audiobook style release, but yes you're right, I'm not sure if I'd be able to! Also a lot of the music I use is licensed only for UKposts. So I will be looking for other music sources in the future, but a lot of places are very expensive, or I am not happy with the quality, so it's a tricky one! I know there’s over a million people paying monthly for calm app and they’re not even close to your stories. At first you may not have many people paying but over time I bet you could easily hit 5k a month/week. And with the content there you arnt technically selling which means you can devote a lot of time to Harry Potter/ LOTR projects and actually get paid for it.

I bet you could upload a new video of yours and say that your excited to make new content and would love feedback and that your going to be releasing HD DOWNLOADABLE content on your patreon for your subscribers to enjoy anywhere and OFFLINE. (Of course there’s ways to do that without us paying) but when there’s people like me who are willing to part with our cash to support you and maybe incentivize you making more and to be able to be in contact with you, you should definitely do it!!! Hi I want to thank you without going in to to much detail I lost to very special people to me in a short period of time and was finding it hard to sleep and came across your work and listening to your calming voice helped me find I good place and helped me get back to sleeping, now I can't wait to get into bed to listen to your stories, I love this version so much would be nice if you could do another LOR story another adventure with gandolf ect starting with the peaceful day in the shire but the second one a different adventure 😊😴

There is. It's in New Zealand, and it's called Hobbiton. It's where they filmed the LOTR movies. If you can get yourself to New Zealand, they give walking tours of the Shire. How cool is that?! ~ Also, I agree it would be a lovely place to live ~ especially if your neighbors could be hobbits. 😊
