Clemson is overhyped, the only currently ranked team they played was Ohio State and LSU. Clemson beating down D2 teams like Wofford and they act like they were good. Then they play a competent team, and Lawrence was garbage and the defense got destroyed

I don't know if you watched the title game last night but that game was much closer the final score indicated. BTW if you want to get into scheduling, the virginia team that you guys only beat by 8, clemson beat by 40.

Exactly, Clemson looked almost as dominate in the ACC as LSU in the SEC. and look what happened, LSU had 0 championship experience and Clemson had been there many times, and they still got stomped . LSU made them look like a bad team.

Karl Calaguas this was not the same team. Clemson lost a lot to the draft on defense and it showed. I don’t think it would have mattered either way. LSU was just finished the best season ever.

At LSU def with 3 different head coaches since 2000 saban les miles and orgeron all recruiting in the top 10 every year and winning a lot each coach won at least 1 SEC title and 1 natty at LSU and the production of NFL talent we produce its insane a lot of our guys will be hall of famers LSU is popular all over the league and we hold the longest active FBS streak in not only winning seasons but 8+ win seasons at 20 years strong last losing season is the year I was born which was 1999

Two out of four years Clemson has been the national champion. LSU was a great team this year but they will be a 1 hit wonder. Alabama will kick their butts next year. It will be Clemson and Alabama in the CFP championship game next year.

It just cements the argument the SEC fans make about the SEC being the toughest division. At any time there can be multiple teams in the SEC that are National Championship Caliber.

SEC is greatest conference, their biggest issue is that they play each other every week and at the end of the season, injuries take their toll. Clemson, weaker schedule keeps their players from being as injured.

It is an impossible task to recreate the offensive success of Joe Burrow and this LSU Tiger offense. That said, this was a transitional team for LSU. The success they enjoyed under Ensminger & Brady's offense will help them recruit and groom the "right" QBs for their system. They finally have a system that is designed to build confidence in their QB. And you know they will always have weapons at receiver. Will their next QB put up Burrow-esque numbers? Highly unlikely. But will LSU be able to retain a CFP caliber offense moving forward? I believe so. I think LSU will still have a great offense next year; and I expect their defense to be very good as well. I'm not saying they will repeat...but they'll be in the mix for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing this program grow. I think this year's LSU team has changed the course of the entire program.

We have a better passer for QB next year. The question is "Will he be able to handle the passing options after reading the defense. Joe Burrow was a seasoned QB with a great head for the game. Most of his passes wobbled. We have a gunslinger coming up in Brennan, and he has proven he can handle the offense. I don't see a let down in quality.

There’s a lot of parity in the game of college football. The last 6 years of the college football playoff era consists of only 4 teams that won it all: Alabama and Clemson each with 2 titles, Ohio State and LSU each won titles in this era

That's not parity that's musical chairs among 3 or so programs. It's pretty much the SEC + Ohio State and Clemson cause of how weak the other conferences are. They made the playoff system so that the other conference would also get a seat at the table even though they are not on the SEC's level

The point SAS was making the SEC will dominate because of their conference. The NCAA came up with the playoff system because the SEC dominated the BCS. During that time Tennessee won the first BCS then Florida, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama in a 16 year span the SEC has won 9 of them with Alabama winning 3 of the last 5. The NCAA wanted more teams other than the SEC to play for the national championship. The Playoff system is suppose to fix that problem but the only issue, based on how they judge who is the best 4 teams in the nation it still play into the SEC favor. The SEC are still the most battle tested conference in the nation and what Ryan Clark was saying is correct, the SEC West is no joke. Teams from other conferences get excited when the beat the lower tier of the SEC east but its a different story when they play the lower tier from the West.

LSU is up now. But it's gone be tough over the next few years. The SEc ain't getting to easier. Clemson and Ohio St. aint going nowhere,assuming both coaches remain, plus i think Florida St. is comming, not to mention Urban Meyer probably coming back. Championships are won during Recruiting. Those are the Programs that are at the top of the Recruiting Class Rankings every year. Ohio State is in that mix as well

LSU was the perfect gumbo. All of the ingredients were great, the cooks were terrific, and the those who feasted on this were hungry. This is the best college football team in the history of the game. Trevor Lawrence didn't lose the game for Clemson, Clemson defense lost the game. Trevor Lawrence produced 25 points against a great LSU defense. Look at the scores in the sec and 25 points is more than enough to win the big match ups.

If Kiffin didn't want to get all cute with the passing with a QB that was obviously not having his best game and fed that grown man that was averaging nearly 10 yards per carry a full 4 square meal with lemon meringue pie on the side like he was supposed to bama wins that game by 3 scores or more. OSU had absolutely no answers whatsoever for big Henry.

Sorry, but you bama fans need to learn how to use. Ohio State was the better team no doubt, there is a reason people say they manhandled Alabama when they only won by 7. I can very well say that if 12 gauge takes it himself a few more times he trucks over your defenders as he did during that game. So no, Ohio State really should have won that by three scores. Alabama got completely outplayed on both sides of the ball. But seriously man, y’all are spoiled and need to learn how to lose. I think they missed the mark. Ohio State is well coached and as talented as any team in the SEC; their problem is scheduling. Every game in the SEC is a snarling nasty dog fight. For 60 minutes, it's all out war. When SEC champions come off their conference schedule and go to the play offs, the SEC teams are normally playing other conference champions who only have 1 or 2 signature wins. Competition breeds excellence. If Ohio state played in the SEC, they would be forced to play with the same intensity and they would have 1-2 more National College championship trophies in their display case. I still say Clemson's soft schedule was why they gave up against LSU. LSU owned the second half, Clemson gave up. Instead reaching down and finding more to give, Clemson didn't know they had more in the tank, because they never had to look for it during the season.

Yeah Alabama is still currently a dynasty Clemson is very close to becoming an ACC dynasty and the LSU is back to their winning ways in their dynasty years. They've got four and they can win more.

if the top 6 SEC teams didnt have to play and eliminate each other during the season...Clemson would only be a so-so team...they would be good, but if they had to play the same schedule as these teams, year after year....they wouldnt be ranked so high

No deep dive analysis is needed. The SEC is the best because it's in the South, where you aren't playing on snow-covered frozen fields. I would argue Burrow couldn't have won it all even if Ohio State hadn't misjudged his talent so badly. And Southern players aren't necessarily better for being Southern even though Louisiana has produced enough tough and.talented players to fill rosters far from their home state. (Saban has kept recruiting Louisiana ever since leaving LSU. How stupid was that?!) Burrow's claim to being a Southerner rests entirely on being from southern Ohio. No, I believe that better teams are found in the SEC purely from the geography involved. A team simply plays better on a better surface and when it has a chip on its shoulder to boot. The South has been kicked around ever since Reconstruction and we just plain love showing Yankees we aren't losers!

I don't know why y'all are changing the subject but Clemson is overrated. They have been all year the ACC is so trash that they were never tested until they played LSU and got the dog snot beat out of them. Alabama-florida Auburn Texas all played LSU closer then Clemson did. Clemson better Count Their Blessings they are not in the SEC or they would not have a single championship 🤷🏾♂️

I can tell you why the West is stronger than the East. The West has both Alabama schools and both Mississippi schools. Put 1 of each in the East, keep their yearly games then send Vandy and Missou to the West as replacements for the 2 sent to the East and watch how fast it evens out. The West get to dominate recruiting in alot of important states

Hats off to LSU their receivers and QB are top notch . Burrows looking like the next Aaron Rodgers. That being said Clemson’s corner back #1 is trash and lost me money. Dabo should’ve benched this kid in the first half. I got half a mind to put a hit out on him!
