I bought one (with the Magic Keyboard and Pencil) for school with my student refund. I Can whole heartedly say that as a stem student it’s been worth well more than I paid for it. I draw lots of organic molecules for various reports and it’s saved me so much time, not to mention the quality of note taking that can be done with the setup. I would easily give it a 10/10. (Also the battery doesn’t hold up to my MacBook Pro, but nothing does but it more than lasts me through the day. 🤷‍♂️)

I am using M1 iPad just for note taking. Actually there aren’t enough apps which possibly needs enough processing power like m1/m2.

I just sold my M2 Ipad Pro 12.9 as after I bought the M3 Pro Macbook Pro it was not being used any more. Still have the 11 inch Ipad Pro in a pinch though.

Just from my humble perspective, the m2 ipad pro isn’t that much of an upgrade, because the distinctive upgrades are merely the chip and apple pencil hover. Plus, if you’re not an expert with demanding tasks the m1 is already enough. I have the m1 12.9 inch with magic keyboard and apple pencil and that’s just gonna satisfy my needs for another 5 years. But the m2 is an excellent device❤
