Hypothetically if his granddad was 41 at the time of his dad's birth, and his dad was 41 at the time of his birth, then his granddad would be 100 when he turned 18. A little older than average to be having kids but really not that extreme, especially if both him and his dad weren't the firstborn of their generations. Of course a clean divide like that is unlikely in reality and it does become more extreme if you skew it a little either way, but it isn't necessarily an old age to become a dad at for either of them

He is wired differently, it can cause issues with relationships etc but he has long been open about it. It's why he's quicker witted than others. It's the way he was born. At the very least he is ADHD and hears around 9 different voices in his head. Will give you an idea what he's dealing with. So it has it's pluses and minuses.
