Making Hydraulic Lift Table

The table was not built to lift heavy loads, but the structure seems to me to be able to withstand a load of 200kg or 300kg maximum, all depending on where the load will be placed, if the load will cover the whole table top I am sure the table will withstand even heavier loads. The construction of the hydraulically adjustable table was to relieve my back, and because it is easy to adjust the table, the work is much lighter and more comfortable. The force of the actuator is 10T, but such a force is not needed, better for such a construction would be a weaker actuator, so it would be much faster. The hydraulically adjustable table is very comfortable and versatile for work. We can carry out locksmithery, welding, assembly and repair work on the table. Thanks to the wide range of table adjustment we can lower it to insert the object and then raise it to a comfortable position. Thanks to the transport wheels, the table is mobile:)

I made something pretty similar about 20 years ago for a friends dad. For work he reconditions classic car engines in his workshop. He has a 4 foot high 3 shelf racking running all along one wall. That's where the customers engines are stored while waiting their turn to be stripped and rebuilt, Or just waiting for the customer to come and pick the rebuilt unit up. Even in his late 40's he could still humph some pretty hefty engines onto that racking by himself, But age was creeping up on him. What I built used the same parallel links like you made, But had a drop step on the end that was big enough to pull an engine onto from the bottom shelf and move to a middle shelf so he could spin the table around and then drag the engine onto the main table section. I made large brass bushings and used ground rod (Cross drilled at the ends to take retaining pins) for all the pivots, And the ram came off an old engine hoist to lift the table. Worked bloody well considering it was 90% made of scrap metal I'd scrounged from work. :) In those 20 or so years I've only ever been asked to take a look at it once, And that was because with about 15 years of constant use it had worn all 8 brass bushings so much that the table top could be rocked 4" side to side on the slop. I made some more bushings, fitted new ground bar stock and added some grease nipples this time around. :D My mated dad will be hitting 70 in a couple more years, And when I asked if he had plans to retire any time soon I was told "Yes. When I hit 70 I've decided that I'm going to take life a bit easier........ So I won't be working on the weekends anymore". LOL ! Blokes a feckin' legend !

Useful ideas and great work. I have an old heavy duty chair recliner motor and gear im thinking of doing a similar thing with. It can lift me up no probs so should be fine for mowers and small engines etc. I was wondering how to do a parallel lift but this has sent me off the right way. Nice project for me and good ideas (casters etc)

I like these build videos that rapid speed the simple stuff. Always interesting. The workmanship is professional. Never seen this particular interesting design for a lift table. The frame is heavy duty for higher capacity, but I still rather go with a more traditional scissor design lift. Would like the table to lower closer to ground.

Nice build and video. I did notice that the higher the tabletop got the more tilted it became. A suggestion: On the next Lift build you might want to go with a scissor design (X-configuration) with a screw drive. This will provide equal rise on both supports allowing the tabletop to remain level. Again, great work. Keep it up.

Thank you :) The table can withstand a load of 200 kg, maximum 300 kg. In order to be able to use it to work with greater loads, it would have to be built of thicker materials, but this strength is sufficient for my work. It's hard for me to say what the cost is because a lot of the material I used comes from scrap metal.

Given that the hydraulic cylinder doesn't tilt much as you raise and lower the table, I would have tried finding some other size of cylinder or made some sort of extension so that it could be attached in a more vertical position throughout its range of motion rather than being tilted back. This would both 'be stronger in terms of the max load as well as for general stability of the table. I'd also find a different anchor point for the pedal spring vs the fitting- hydraulic fittings are pretty strong (they have to withstand the internal hydraulic pressure after all), but the directly coupled vibration from working the pedal could cause it to loosen over time and leak and it just plain doesn't look very good considering how well you built the rest of the table..

This would be great for a expresso machine, as in a high dollar prosumer or commercial machine because if you were to elevate the machine then you could essentially fit any capacity liquid container under the brew head instead of small cups once you remove the drip tray from under the brew head. I'm talking about machines that are north of 2000 dollars a unit. That way something like 32oz thermos or those counter top thermos you see at coffee shops could fit under the brew head. Great for when you want to make say over 300 oz of express for snow removal crews in North Dakota for morale boosting when it's 30 below wind chill on a regular basis.

Nice job, i don't know how much weight you plan to use on this but i did notice that the weakness might be on the 2 point where the hydraulic jack is attached. It seems to be reliant on the weld. Just a suggestion but I'd of made it so the weld held it in place rather than the weld take the weight. I'm sure it will hold more than enough for what you plan to do though.
