I've been playing with HHO on a very small scale. This is the coolest use I've seen so far because I make knives and metal art. Now I have to make this!!! Luckily I work in food service and the owner gave me a big stainless steel cabinet to do with as I wish. Got a weekend project now! Haha! Thank you for posting this!!!!!!! YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!!!

Yes, fuel cell is costly rather than lithium battery, but rather opposite elon musk, I opt to fuel cell for its much longer duration and bigger capacity per Kg weight (appprox 200 times better than the battery). What happens if the HHO Generator is running but the gas is not beeing burned/used. Isnt it going to ignite itself when pressurized? Can you control the amount of gas being produced by changing the voltage? I want to try it out but it feels risky somehow. Maybe it would work safer when controlled by an Arduino or Raspberry and some pressure- or gas flow sensors. Thanks for your upload!

As awesome as this build is, part of me wishes he would've cut off the excess screw rods and put acorn nut covers on them to give it a finished look. And why didn't he use 90-degree elbows on the bottom of the tank? I cringe whenever I see hoses even slightly crimped. @jttech445 років тому
Me and a buddy built an HHO generator in my garage at 14. Anything is possible if you know how to get at information. In fairness, it wasn't this polished, and we mostly used it for exploding foam cups, because, you know, 14.
@Dream420005 років тому
Jacob T HHO generators are definitely simple if you keep the design basic an diy,I was more talking the average person couldn't make something as professional as this unless they had practice or some sort of certification in engineering lol.
@jttech445 років тому
@@Dream42000 Tooling is the big variable really. A water-jet operator could knock this out no problem in an afternoon, no degree or certification required. Not to downplay how cool this is, just to say this is a pretty well understood idea. Things like axial compressors would be a better example, there's a reason you don't see many "DIY" versions of them, because it's a properly hard engineering problem.

I can not see the wire connection of the steel plates in the middle so there is nothing to do there only there is a connection in the outer plate and one inside all the others have not, I think there is a mistake
@Empusas16 років тому
Yes, i was thinking this too. There is sense in having this additional surface if those plates are not connected to +/- as well. Then this design is not very clever as connecting the out plates to power means you expose them to an easy shortcut. Just need to put this on a wet floor or put something like a metal tool on it and you have your shortcut.
@sausagefingers7146 років тому
if you were to run the planes in a -+-+-+-+ order you will quickly start to boil the water due the voltage (24v) being to high.. from my old knowledge of HHO cells i believe its best to run around 2-3 volts per plate.. the plates between the + and - are known as divider or neutral plates example below + N N N N N N N N - < if you where using a 24v system the neutral plates will divide the voltage and raise the efficiently of the system if had a 2 plate system running @ 24v the water will very quickly boil up = wasted energy if you did want to run this exact system in a + - + - + pattern they you will need a power supply with a 2-3 volt output with ideally 100+ amps output hope this clears thing up for you :)
@ulissessalvador6 років тому
but you do not have to use 24v just use 12v now has and have a good amperage, will never boil the water boiled several projects of these and never boiled the water and I say had very high yield and very little consumption.I already made the two forms and the most effective was what I am saying, try a test with a small and see which has the best performance
@ManofCulture6 років тому
*Dr sausage fingers* In the video, he connected as -NNN+NNN-, the blue wire which connected in the middle is the + and black is - connected both ends with bolt... idk the brown one, it's confusing
@lanceroark63866 років тому
Dr Sausage, how much stock do you have oil?
@bobkelly24474 роки тому
Yes well done ! .... 2 questions for you. 1. how much did it all cost ? 2. how many Liters per minute does the generator produce ?...... the plates look to be 12" square, so I am assuming you have a lot of plate surface area wetted.... please if you have not yet tested the LPM of the cell or figured the sqr inches that are wet inside the cell, it is important information that other people need ! thank you ! .....Bob...
@62526504 роки тому
Great job mr , amazing results. When the level of the electrolyte in the bubbler is down, with what you fill it up? With Just disstiled water, or disstiled water with KOH? Thanks for sharing it
@tannerwhitetree58636 років тому
Can someone please explain to me how this works
@JohnPavilonis6 років тому
In simple terms the device converts water, H2O into Hydrogen and Oxygen gas, HHO. Water flows in-between the steal plates. When electricity is applied to the plates, the bond is broken into the individual molecular gaseous state. Hydrogen is flammable which can be used to cut or weld. It can also be use to fuel combustion engines, create light when applied to lime stone, and create heat when running through sand.
@pdjames17296 років тому
create heat when running through sand? Do you mean On Fire, through sand or is there a catalytic sand/HHO reaction? I wanted to use the torch to heat a ceramic element, this can work well if applied to a radiator. Transferring the heat into the water for storage, without needing to run Central Heating for the whole house..
@zhalas6 років тому
a more complete explanation would be that he is creating an electrolisis machine, that is, a machine that breakes the bond between hydrogen and oxygen in the water, he uses KOH be cause the reaction needs ions to conduct electricity through the water, and when KOH disolves in water, it becomes K+ and OH-
@phillpauley66726 років тому
JohnPavilonis you just educated me tremendously in one comment. Thank you! I've been playing around with HHO on a very small scale. Now I gotta build this thing to play with! Luckily I work in food service and the owner gave me a big stainless steel cabinet to do with as I wish. Got a weekend project now.
