Tbf they were already the most popular rock band in Italy and even won Sanremo a couple months ago, which is the biggest music festival in Italy and the oldest in Europe. I think it was inevitable for them to blow up with Eurovision cause they are just too talented and charismatic. Damiano in particular is a natural born world star.

They are probably the very first participation on Eurovision that people cared to view their other work and actually liked it..
