I loved all of the stories, but I thought Lois's story was the best. To remember an event that happened so many years ago in such detail she must have really thought about it often throughout her life. What a scary night that must have been for a young girl babysitting two small children

I loved the last one! 🤣 that woman was a spit fire! I bet that Sasquatch was surprised! 😂 I also liked what the husband said about these smartelic people who always ask why the person didn’t take a photo. 👍🏻 he hit the nail on the head!

Nance, these were all fantastic! The last one, especially- hilarious! Arguing with Bigfoot! It reminds me of when I first moved to my neighborhood, knowing nothing of the big guy. The first night I walked my dog up the hill, past a wooded area, we had a few rocks thrown at us, and there was whispering in the trees. I stood there, thinking it was kids, yelled, "Hey, I just moved to this neighborhood! That's not very nice!" And the response was another rock thrown toward my feet, and more whispering. Can you imagine yelling at Bigfoot? Apparently I did, as well as this lady- though she actually saw one, and mine were hidden. But to pitch those little pumpkins at it! LOL! Lord have mercy! 😂

I love Grandma. We didn't understand about spaying and neutering so much back in the day. It was really expensive too, even in 2002. Thank goodness times have changed. I live in the woods of Georgia and my pets are all inside come dark. We've got Boogers in Georgia and coyotes. Grandma was very brave but a neutered house cat is a lot easier to protect.
@jodilea144
@jodilea144 4 роки тому
J Bos my two are sprayed and neutered, but they still love to roam all over our 7 acre property as late as I’ll allow them to stay out. Even with the temp dropping pretty low at night lately and the coyotes yipping all around, they are up for adventure! We live in Fouke, Arkansas, and though I haven’t seen one (a booger) here yet, I did find a huge print right outside my bedroom window a couple of months back after some strange bumps and sounds outside the previous night.

Jodi Lea I lived in the country in South Georgia and had 6 dogs and six cats. I don’t think we had any Sasquatch in our area, but there were coyotes. I called them all in at night to be with me. No, not the coyotes😉. If I was away late I knew the cats were safe because of the dogs. All would come running and immediately come in with me as soon as I called. It was wonderful having them all, back in the early 90’s. Every one was spayed or neutered.

Hello Awaken ASLEEP SHEEP - It's always nice to know that people genuinely enjoy not just the stories, but the channel in general. I had no idea when I started if anyone would want to listen to me reading stuff, so it's good to know people do enjoy it all. Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. I don't always have the time to answer every comment, but I do read them all. (And I try to answer as many as I can!) Just saying thanks - Nance

How on earth did I miss this when it came out! Watching a few days before Thanksgiving. Oh, what a treat! I am listening to them at nearly 4:00 am, having listened to the last story twice and trying not to shriek with laughter! I live in an over 55 building and don’t want to scare the neighbors. I sure don’t blame her for being mad, though. I also just loved the story of grandma and Jellybean. I would shoot at anyone or anything if I had to, to save one of my beloved pets, though I generally think we just ought to leave the big fellas alone

The last story puts a spin on a peeping tom who peeped at me. I lived in Licking County in the '90s. I had a bottom floor apt and the bedroom window was really high up. It was very early in the morning and I came back into bedroom and felt eyes on me and noticed someone peeking through the window. The bedroom light wasn't on and the window had shears so I could only make out an outline of a head. Yelled out "Jesus!" And ran into the living room and turned on the porch light. It wasn't my imagination. While whoever was gone, they had knocked over some plants and the containers were rocking. Probably was a human perv, but he was a tall perv! I have always used solid curtains since.
@tonibauer2949
@tonibauer2949 4 роки тому
sheila agan I had some pervy little adolescents trying to peer in my second floor bedroom when I first moved into a condo. I think one boosted the other up to stand on a light fixture that extended over the patio from the wall below. I saw these immature hands clutching the outside of the window and strolled over as if I hadn’t noticed. Then I lunged forward and smashed the screen out, screaming, “ the next time I’ll blow your effin head off!” Those kids ran almost as fast as Bigfoot to get the heck outta there. I doubt they every returned, but immediately got curtains hung. It was more funny than scary.

I believe ya Rebbeka. And by the Actions of the Squatch... It must have been watching over you...here is why I say this. The Squatch must have been there for awhile...and it's scent had permeated the area (and you smelled it). Second...It was quiet and didn't bust things up. And third...As you were leaving the Church...it wanted you to know it had been standing guard...and now it is going home too. I know for a fact...animals love to hear our Fathers word. As a girl I used to read the bible to farm animals in the evening. Mostly Horses and cows, but also sheeps goats , and the barn cats and the herding dogs (border collies) they will calm down and listen . I had forgotten about this until I heard your Story. I am a Pastor of our Fathers Letter to us in the Hebrew/Greek and Aramaic (THE WORD -on youtube) Thank you. Your story touched me.

Hello Nancy. Re: Jelly bean, one morning while leaving for work I spotted a small stray kitten in our front yard. I called out to my wife what I'd found and not to feed it or we'll never get rid of it, a comment i regret to this day. I returned that evening and my wife told me after gentle coaxing and a bowl of milk, the " kitten" would disappear only to return time and again carrying a kitten of her own. She was a small cat but still a mum! We adopted them all. Whenever we approached the kittens they would hiss and spit, haha. We made a beď for them all next to the hot water system and everyday "Missy" (short for Mystery) would carry each one out into the sun to play and return each one at night. An old tomcat would periodically visit the yard, chewed ears and all, a real old tomcat. The markings were the same as the kittens so we figured he was "dad". We found homes for them all except one who was just too timid. 19 years later and we still have them . They are adored and cherished members of the family. The kitten kept was named "Ebony" cos he's all black. Both are desexed. Sorry to waffle on but i thought I would give some insight to one of the Buckeye family members. Brisbane, Australia.

I'm pretty sure this is the most comical encounter I've heard among all the countless stories I've listened to; a number which, at this juncture, would be utterly incalculable. I've been amazed and while listening to each story and piping in with "EEK!" or "Yikes", or any number of mutually frightened adverbial contributions. But belly laughing is NOT a common effect of these usually terrifying episodes in someone's life! Thanks, Donny, for the way you wrote this up. The visual images of your fireball wife, her outstanding pitching abilities in defense of her artistic efforts and personal property being violated. Well, believe it or not, I understand. I was stunned by the sudden approach of several fully grown cows while attempting to stalk a large satellite bull elk one evening near Bend, Oregon. I used to chew sunflower seeds while archery hunting. The lead cow walking towards me was moving her big snout from side to side, obviously passing her nose through my sunflower seed scent trail. I had failed to approach from downwind and to pay attention to any sudden change in wind direction. The group of cow elk got pretty close, in fact the lead cow could have easily chosen to end my days in the woods. But the instant she got a whiff of human she rose up on her hind legs and whipped around 180° and blew out the way she came in. Of course the satellite bull I was hoping to take home waited for the last cow to hit the clearing before he followed suit. Elk don't get to be that huge being the first one in the open. And I quit chewing on sunflower seeds in the woods too.

Mark's story about Jelly Bean tugged at my heart strings, Nancy. When I was married to my 1st husband, I found a baby kitty out in the old hog house where his mama had abandoned him. He was all of about 3 inches long, so I called the vet & asked him what I should feed the little guy, & he told me. I got him some baby kitty milk like the stuff you feed real human babies, & sat in our rocking chair & fed, Morris. I burped him, & when I went to work that Monday my fathers-in-law came over & fed him, too, thinking all the while that the baby would be better off if he'd knock him into the outside wall, but didn't because he knew I'd be heartbroken. So Morris grew up, & I said we needed to get him neutered, & my stupid husband said, oh you can't do that, they'll cut off his balls, & once again I said: He'll be a better cat & won't go out catting around & get in fights, etc. I should have done it myself, but I didn't & he sprayed in the tractor, & got his face all torn up, & ears, too, & I did not like my husband much after that. In fact, if I'd had it to do over again, I'd tell him to go jump off a short plank & have the cat neutered myself. My dad was a veterinarian & he used to put male cats head first down into a boot, cut off their nuts, spray them with Iodine give them a couple of stitches & send them on their way. Didn't hurt them much, but the next time they went out trying to cat around, all that they'd do was make a fool of themselves. Jelly Bean got saved by Grandma & her gun. Morris didn't. I was never so mad at that man in my life!

Lisa Keith Bless your heart. I raised a kitten found in the middle of a highway at 6:00 am. We thought his mama dropped him, and he was too little to even walk on his own yet. His eyes were just open. It was a Sunday morning, and I was home in the country with nothing to feed him but cow’s milk. I gave him a bit with a spoon, I think, and he climbed up to cuddle in my neck and suck on my ear like he was nursing. I went to the church, and stopped at a vet that was fortunately open on the way home, and got a tiny bottle and milk substitute, and came home and fed that tiny, fuzzy, black baby boy kitty. After I used up the can of milk substitute, I spied a big bag of goat milk substitute which the owner of the land I lived on was feeding a baby goat whose mama had failed him. They let me take all of that I could use, and that tiny kitten grew to the shiniest, healthiest, most muscular and long legged cat I ever had. And he loved me like I was his own mama. I could carry him in the shower and wash him along with myself without the slightest threat of a scratch. I did get him neutered. Sadly, I only had him 3 years. I moved from my place in the country to another state, and he disappeared one day. I know something bad happened to him, or he would have come back. Don’t blame yourself for not standing up to your stupid husband. I made that mistake more than once when I should have.
