Whoa , honesty on the lineup. Didn't see that coming. 👏👏👏. No blowing smoke up butts. Calling out the schedule and mentioning how the surfers facing the cut had to compete in less than ok waves to maintain their careers. I was nearly going to stop listening to the lineup . But if Mitch and dave can speak their minds without trying to pump up the tyres of the wsl. I'm going to stay onboard. 👍🏻👏👏👏.

Honesty will be when they start questioning judging decisions, as every other sport's punditry does with referees / judges etc. Until then, it's just fluff.

@@gothgurlfriend spot on. Actually I thought they were being honest at the start , but then they had to float their own boat by talking up their own crew. 🤦🏻‍♂️. I always wonder why the judges need to put out a brief before each event saying what they will score highly. Why do they even need to do that ?? Great surfing is great surfing. Let the surfers do their thing. They are going to surf their best no matter if they are in the goat pool or portugal. And I think the head judge thing is contrived. That guy is putting his thoughts into the heads of the panel who have their own brains and eyes. So stupid . 🙄

I'd be inclined to treat priority as a shot clock - you only keep priority for 5 minutes. Put up a bonus point up for surfers who score 4 or more waves in a heat with a score of 5 or better.
