The color grading is so different. The lighting decisions are better on the PS4 sometimes, like the elevator vertical crawl.

Many people are saying this but I really like how they changed the time of day in the opening. Now it actually looks like the early morning instead of the middle of the day.

I would actually like if we can somehow combine some of the sections cuz they both shine at different occasions.

Because the old Peter’s face was the face put into all of our hearts when May Parker died. We grew to love and understand that face of Spider-Man. The new face shows the new features that wasn’t offered but it falls short because of the voice acting not matching to the new tone they are trying to show.

1:12 Peter’s house actually looks cleaner in this shot, the toaster and flask both are really shiny compared to the rusty ones in the PS4 version, the counter is cleaner too.

The only real difference is that on the left you can see Peter Parker, whereas on the right there's Schooldays Peter Parker. No seriously, the new face is really off-putting for this incarnation of the character, that started with a different face to begin with... and it also looks smaller than it should on the photograps in the room...

I did not expect that much difference from PS4 Pro to PS5, that was actually kind of crazy. The lightning and HDR makes such a difference

I know partly this is because they changed the way mornings are lit, but the lighting and colors look more intentional in the PS4 version. It looks like that was the carefully created version, and the PS5 version is the version with ray tracing slapped on. It kind of reminds me of how Batman's cape looks best in the early Arkham games when it was hand animated, before they changed it to just be physics based.

So if you have ps5 on performance does it have better shadows and stuff like that than ps4 pro or is it the same like the ps pro?

I was first torn on if I should do performance or fidelity for Miles Morales but ended up on performance & can't go back; I'm occasionally gonna switch it to fidelity during the night cycle...

I like the PS5 detail and all the extra reflections they are now able to do way better. And honestly I like the new Peter face; even though it's difficult getting used to. But I don't like how everything outside is now pink. I like that look for winter time in Miles Morales, and Peter's suit is actually red now, amazing, but it feels wrong not having that bright and clear yellow sky.

The level of realism on PS5 version is just another quantum leap. Ray tracing can do that.

there's something about the old face, that i dodn't know, has a charm to it, i don't know why they re design the face, it wasn't neccessary, and in my opinion the game didn't need a remastered version for ps4

A few small but interesting changes I found: 0:47 the name of the drink is completely removed. 1:09 the take away box only says Enjoy but no thank you 1:12 the appliances look older and dirtier in the original... Now they look like brand new and shiny. 1:04 newspapers have more signs of wear and creases in the original.

PS4 looks more vibrant - actually feels like I'm watching a Spidey comic come to life. The lighting also make scenes look more cinematic, while the PS5 Remaster looks more real (I prefer the cinematic look).

The light refracting when it goes through the jars at the beginning is the most exciting part of the video to me. To me, that looks like real time lighting. The developers place the light source, and the objects react accordingly based upon their material and properties. This will greatly improve shadows and reflections, and should even decrease development time since the developer is just placing a light source rather than animating the light’s affect.

I prefer the pro version tbh looks less washed out Ray Tracing is overrated

Texture quality in remaster is amazing

After owning the PS5 since release, I have just picked up the ultimate edition today. All o can say is wow! The remaster is superb! It really cannot be appreciated on mobile phones on a compressed video. Thoroughly impressed. I will finish this before moving on to Myles..

2:37 made me pause the video and collect myself. The difference blew my mind.

Textures` quality and detalization, reflections, and almost everything looks far better in Remastered version, but to be fair i liked the morning lighting much more than the afternoon one.

Let me get this right. You still have to choose whether you want performance or graphics improvement. I was hoping this new machine would give you a 60fps frame rate regardless of that.

I actually somewhat prefer the original. The fidelity version almost seems like a film student got his/her hand on the project and gave most scenes a flare or lighting touch up. The original looked like raw film footage (which is often sought after by professionals more than color grading)

The only thing that got downgraded was Peter's face

The remaster is amazing in almost every way. The only time I like the old version was during 1:21. I like the way the window is brighter and shows off spider man. Otherwise, amazing job.

Hot damn that ray tracing does it's job well. And some of those new textures are amazing!

Am... Am I the only one who actually likes his new model? Like not that the old one is bad or anything, they're both phenomenal in my opinion. But I don't understand the hate behind the new model.
