Problem is anyone who knows elk knows they were not waiting for the calf that's just the tail end of the herd slowly moving on like they always do and they would have kept right on going even if it hadn't caught up.

I hope you're okay now though even though your father's lack of consideration has burned a traumatic experience in your memory. I could never understand how parents could even walk in the malls, or anywhere out in public, and nowadays while texting, while their precious children are yards behind them. justme HK I wish you could have told my parents this when I was growing up...but they were so busy fighting with one another that they wouldn't have even listened to you... I was around so many child molesters and pedophiles that I'm surprised nothing happened to me. I'm still in my 20's and I'm alive and well and that's all that matters... this is why I was so happy for that last elk to finally make it because it reminds me so much of myself. I'm happy that the elk wasn't left behind and there were actually a few waiting for him, whereas there was no one waiting for me... but I'm still here and alive and well, so that's something to celebrate :)

Slenvr If you understand the basic concept of "herd mentality," you'll know that they were not "all" waiting for that one elk. Four were waiting, but some are waiting for the other four, which causes another chain reaction where another group is waiting for the other group. This in turn turns into the "bandwagon effect." Maybe you should do some reading and research before trolling on youtube and making yourself look like an idiot.

kashewz how exactly do you know that it were exactly 4 of them that were waiting on him and not a single one, causing the same effect on the other three?
