After Harry proposed Charles told him there wasn’t money in the budget for Meghan.. he claimed out of the 60 million dollars they’d get per year that there wasn’t money for security and clothes… so Meghan had to pay for everything for herself, down to her wedding dress, flowers, wedding cake, etc. the BRF covered security costs. William and Charles didn’t even want Harry releasing a statement about the abuse she was experiencing because they claimed it made them look bad…

It was one of the main criticisms as any footage they used were stock footage and some like the South African trip were approved by them. Even the Toronto pap was a stock photo. In the UK they were never chased or stalked, all photo ops were at events or known. There were very few if any.
