Sorry that you were having a tough day. Breaking a graphite mold is expensive for us mortals, and unfortunately, it's one of the the costs of our hobby! Better days will come. Stay well, stay thirsty, my friend!
@meltingipswich13 днів тому
I know it sucks those mould are expensive but never mind onwards and upwards 👍
@walter299012 днів тому
@@meltingipswich Not a total loss. With a little trimming of the broken end of the mold, you can still block up the broken end with another graphite block.
@meltingipswich12 днів тому
@@walter2990 that’s ok I’ve brought another one now
@empirefinds13 днів тому
Wow brother what a day that was. Make some graphite powder out of the broken mould. Stay safe talk soon.
@meltingipswich13 днів тому
I have 3 of the broken now. That’s why I’ve been keeping them to make a powder 👍

I wish I could melt it without the cost of propane.
@meltingipswich13 днів тому
It’s not cheap
@shermantripp524612 днів тому
Well if u can get ahold of a lot of wood and a blow dryer u can melt without propane that's how I started out and there's always induction heating but that's more expensive then propane
@troyb.410112 днів тому
@@shermantripp5246 That does not work, I've tried it, You can melt aluminum that way, but not copper. I melt 40 pounds of aluminum at a time. I was told coal would work , but that is not really available in Arizona, I have huge amounts of hard wood here, a thousand tress on my 55 acres, Mesquite wood mainly. My furnace smelter can handle railroad ties four feet long. The blower is a blower from an A/C unit. 10" diameter duct work.
