to me, the rankings don’t even matter that much anymore. i value each skater’s strengths, and above all, artistry. with hanyu’s scores constantly changing depending on how nice the judges decide to be, i think his performance (here, and in every competiton) is totally above the others, no matter how many mistakes he makes. i appreciate all the skaters, but to me, hanyu is just above every rank. sad how the judges struggle to see that

you just an ignorant hanyu bot, obsessed with your idol, who is disrespecting and not paying attention to other skaters abilities. hanyu vanilla copy paste performances (all his programs are basically the same) are nowhere near mikhail kolyada or jason brown. only politics are holding misha and jason down, with any invovment of fair judging they should be crushing hanyu in PCS. from skating skills to musicality misha and jason are two heads above overscored japanese golden boy.

@@alexanderbakulin8836 They were saying that yuzuru was obviously underscored since some time ago, even though he’s (obviously too) the greatest all around skater of all time. The guy excels beyond how one would imagined with his technical mastery, execution, and artistry. And well nathan, his ‘rival’, was overscored. This unfair scoring is subtle but when added up altogether creates a huge difference. When he had asthma attack at this year worlds fs, it was understandable. But when he performs as how he always did, of course the fault is only at the unfair scoring. The person commenting meant that a great skater would always be great regardless how fair the judges are. Everyone except you could see what i’m talking about
@alexanderbakulin8836
@alexanderbakulin8836 3 роки тому
"jack of all trades, master of none" is a perfect description of hanyu. he is not the greatest all around skater, as hanyu bots are claming. many aspects of his skating are good, but none of them are great. misha kolyada and jason brown are two heads above hanyu as performers. and i'm ready to give up all the hanyu programs, for one step sequence of true japanese artist on ice, daisuke takahashi (2010 olympics short program eclipces everything that hanyu did in all of his career)
@quite.unloveable
@quite.unloveable 3 роки тому
@@alexanderbakulin8836 actually, i literally wrote that i appreciate all the skaters and value their strengths and artistry. don’t even start inserting russia and america into the politics issue. the judges go more about which skater is their bias, and score consequently. of course, politics unfortunately matter, but russia and usa don’t in this case, in my opinion. jason brown does indeed get underscored many times, for his artistry is amazing. i find it honestly pointless replying to this comment anyways, since you totally misinterpreted what i was trying to say. the hate you’re showing for hanyu shows your bias as well, if i have to be honest. even those who don’t like him end up admitting that he is an amazing skater, in the same way those who don’t like nathan chen admit he is an amazing skater. it’s just about being objective. we should all respect every skater for their hard work, which you clearly are not doing.

Congrats to all skaters. You’ve all done very well in this tough season. Have a holiday and then come back stronger for the pre-olympic season! I agree with the placements but still have a question about Yuzuru’s pcs. Why is it only 94.5? To me he should’ve gotten 96+, higher than Nathan’s. He skated really well here except for the pop on 4s which was not a fall so did not ruin the integrity of the program. Can anybody explain?
@thifa5041
@thifa5041 3 роки тому
Yes if someone can explain it I really want to know too, since while I admit that Nathan's technicality is great, I honestly can't see how his PCS ended up higher than Yuzu using that program (honestly the song didn't really match Nathan's style imo, I felt some kinda disconnection when I watched it)
@xxXmmxx
@xxXmmxx 3 роки тому
@@thifa5041 honestly i wonder the same. And I'll kinda disagree about the song, i think it fitted him more
@sporeKAfan

Nathan definitely deserves higher pcs score. This is one of his best programs imo. His ballet program flows so much better than Hanyu's Japanese theme program. There is so much subtle beauty in Nathan's movements and interpretation of Philip Glass music. I really can't connect to Hanyu's program. His skating does not have much energy compared to the younger skaters and he was basically just moving around and jumping with no connection. The music wasn't that appealing too. In fact, I think that he is overscored compared to the better programs from the Russians and Jason Brown.
@flywithyou9354
@flywithyou9354 2 роки тому
@@sporeKAfan you can said you cannot connect to his program, but you can't say his program does not have any connection. They are FULL of transitions please...I think you need to watch videos about breakdown of his program. His pcs are totally underscored. And one thing about Nathan, yes, he can jump and I really love that but preparation time for those jumps are too long and goe are a bit inflated... What I can say is the judges really bias.
@sporeKAfan
@sporeKAfan 2 роки тому
@@flywithyou9354 I disagree. Hanyu's program is quite empty and is just skating around and jumping. No step sequence/footwork/transition. PCS is definitely overscored. Nathan's preparation time for jumps is fine because he has step sequence/footwork/transition and is basically telling a story. He has one of the cleanest and flawless execution in jumps, so I'm not sure why you think his GOE is overscored.

Am I the only one who hated the commentator for unwarranted comments on the "future of skating". If was like he had decided it himself that yuzuru won't continue skating after Beijing 😤

i’m terrified of the day he will decide to retire 😞 he himself though said that it’s not about whether or not he will retire after beijing, but rather whether he will be totally satisfied with himself. i’m glad about that

I definitely agree with you on this one, I also find it irritating when the commentator keeps bringing up the rivalry between Yuzuru and Nathan, I understand that many people are particularly interested by the competition between these two gems but it just seems off to me to comment on the performance of an athlete only in comparison with another one.

Shoma Uno beautiful steps... Great coreography, matched perfecly with the song he choiced... kolyada and Aymoz did a great performance as ALWAYS. Jason Brown got SO into your performance, at the end he smilling made me smile too, look so funny lol hanyu's sequence of steps was SO- I can't express, I can't express how unique it was. This boy has a lot of talent wtf, like a prince of skating. Nathan chen in his performance looked like a Chinese kiing defending his kingdom. Great and powerful!

Yes! We must accept the true that Nate is incredible for Jumping and improve so much about his presentation. After Olympic 2018, Nate is unbeatable and he will stay in this position as long as new comer which is able to jump like him come. This is sport so, the new best always come. However, i still love Shoma and Yuzuru

First of all, the Japanese team had to comply with their 14 days quarantine rule and their practice time between world championship and world team trphy got cut short. So, it's not surprising why a lot of their athletes are not in their top form. And Yuzu just recovered from his asthma attack the two weeks before which was during the World Championship with Rika got injured.
