I've been using VR for years, from the time of pseudo VR where I used these headsets that needed a mobile phone, to my first actual VR headset the HTC Vive. The Vive was my first foray into actual VR with controllers, an inbuilt screen, etc, but it was cumbersome to set up and you need a lot of space to play.
I wanted a wireless self contained solution and I have here the meta quest 3, metas newest vt Headset. How good is it? Let's check it out in this video.

Hey great video content, saw your channel very helpful just a small suggestion, you can start doing more shorts with every video and end the shorts with watch the full video, this could increase your video views as i feel regretful that such a good creator is underrated

Wow! I have never seen this in-depth video about VR, Thank you for making this one :) To be frank, I have never tried any sort of VR in my entire life but this thing is very interesting. I never knew these things were so advanced this is basically a whole computer, the feature where we can mix our surroundings and the game is crazy! I love it. The only thing I felt is that the camera quality can be improved it will make the game even better! After watching this video, I get what actually Apple Vision Pro is, let's see what Apple does, but that thing will cost crazy, probably we can buy an Alto at its price 🤣🤣

Very true, we can get a small car for the price of the Apple Vision Pro 😅, as for the Quest 3, the simplicity of just picking it up and playing within a few seconds made me interested in VR again.

@TalkingstuffNet, thanks for a wonderful, detailed review! I'm planning to buy the Meta Quest 3, but am undecided between the 128 Gb and 512Gb variants, that have a price diff of about USD 150/-. I primarily want to use this headset for my PC VR Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 (Steam version), that has a whopping 350Gb+ installation size (with add-ons)! At 09:22, you've mentioned that, after connecting the VR headset to the PC, the storage now takes place on the PC. Can you please clarify this? Does it mean I can go-in for the cheaper 128Gb variant, and still be use it for my PC VR MSFS 2020? Also, will there be any resultant latency issues? TIA.

The games are installed on your PC and the headset is in effect just playing back a video stream which is being broadcast by the PC. Also the game being installed on the PC doesn't take up space on the headset itself. Games on steam (PC) are much cheaper than on the Meta store. If you are mostly playing tethered to the pc you won't need the 512gb version, for me 128 gb was more than enough for most games. Worst case I uninstall a game which I don't play much and with high speed Internet it takes a few minutes to reinstall.

How is passthrough quality with your eyes Because with recording it looks good but my quest 3 pass through is bad

It's just like how the recording looks, it's good, not great but is still better than the quest 2. Low light has a lot of video noise, but if it's bright enough it's very clear. You can walk down stairs and obstacles easily.

Hi Thanks for the video. Meta quest 3 can be plugged to 230V supply voltage and 50Hz? Meta Quest 3 Power Adapter is 18W USB-C. I am planning to buy Quest 3 from USA and use in India. So can you specify the voltage charging compatibility for charging the quest 3 headset. USA voltage is 110-120V (60 Hz), while in India and other countries, 220-240V (50 Hz) is used. Thank you.

It's a universal power adapter and works between 100-240v. You can also use a phones charger to charge up the quest 3 as it's usb-c.

Totally agree, it's been easier to get into VR gaming without all the troubleshooting I needed to do with my HTC Vive. Enjoying VR again after a long time.

Bro can you plz help me with this think. i had buyied quest 3 by watching your video but my issue is the camera quality i look through lens is very cheep like dots and low in quality compared to when i record that footage. If i record what i see in that video the quality is more good but when i look with my eyes its very cheep and low why is this normal or should i return to amazon plz help me

The camera quality is not the best also in low light there's going to be noise(dots). Looking at my recorded video if it's very different then better to get it replaced by the seller you purchsed the headset from.

You won't get the 3d effect thats provided by the dual displays. It can be used with one eye too. The price is high for this device, if you have siblings they can take advantage of it, else a TV will work better for 2D viewing. 😁

It can be worn over spectacles, and for me it's clear. You can change the distance of the display and your eyes, front and back to allow accommodating glasses.

Internet is only required when downloading games, once downloaded it doesn't need internet.

so all the games work in india? From what i heard, only a few hand counted apps are available in our region since it isnt released officially in IN?

I can't remember but I think India was not in the list of the countries when setting up, so I had chosen United states. All games are listed in usd, so international credit card would be required. There are tons of apps, so not sure what's missing and all the big favorites are available. I can also use it with a PC for PCVR gaming so the library only extends.

@@TalkingstuffNet Oh I see, i saw some amazon review stating the apps are region locked. I dont think we can purchase apps if the region selected in US as the card would need a billing address that goes to US :(

It's available on amazon so unless you have someone coming down, importing would anyway incur customs duty. Amazon delivers in a day or two. Seems to be available at 50k on amazon now amzn.to/48SGrQV

Just login with your Facebook account, you might not be able to choose India in the list, bit can select US instead. Indiam credit cards work on the Meta store.

Hi, I am a lifelong spectacled person 😢, how is the experience for such person. I am assuming you can't wear glasses inside the headset.

We have the option to move the face guard forward and back, when out at max we have enough space to wear glasses. I use it this way.

Do you mean the storage, 512 GB version is around 72k on amazon india, so too expensive. I also use this with Steam Link, so I can play larger games using the power of my PC and it's storage.

I don't think so, mine looks to be Japanese and all the features are working. I can purchse apps and also they install normally. I don't think meta have added any region lock.

I'm not sure, if it's a redemption code it should work. I had received free games when I purchased mine. If it's code for referring friends, the link you get will only work in the US.

I'm using Indian ICICI Amazon pay credit card and it works. Make sure your cards are active for international payments via your banks online portal. I think it's inactive by default.

It won't as it's imported, you would have a chance to return or replace when purchased on amazon, but after that period there's no warranty via meta.

As it's imported there's no warranty by Meta. Via amazon we can at least replace or return if there's any problem within the return window.

@@TalkingstuffNet, as per the latest Amazon India return policy, the buyer has to now process the replacement / return directly with the Brand Service Centre and not through Amazon. Even Flipkart has introduced this change... 🤨
