The bullet shaped item if copper reminds me of the tips I use on my spot welders in the sheet metal shop. Thanks for sharing.👍

Bullet shape may be a Ford tire tube valve protector (cover) if it is threaded inside .

spot welding tip. that is the top the bottom is flat.

Bullet looking item if copper, is a plumbing "nipple". It would be cut off the stubbed out copper water pipe during construction.

do you need to get permissions for metal detecting parks in Southern California?

you don't need to ask to metal detect normal parks but university's schools or national parks you have to get permission
