Still pretty good for a $40 fitness tracker. Step accuracy in line with most trackers (good), sleep was still accurate for total sleep/deep sleep, just missed the 2nd half of rem (any other watch around this price point is far worse), and HR while poorest performing was likely a fluke (previous gens more accurate) , multiple comments pointed that out, and I can't find similar corroborated reviews of wild heart rates (likely sweat+not tight enough near wrist). The next big jump in tracking is going to be upwards of $100, the Fitbit Inspire 2 but with smaller greyscale green/fewer features.

This surprised me. I've had my eye on the mi band 6 since it was rumored to be on the horizon. I had expected a better turn out, especially seeing the mi band 5. As someone who uses wearables to keep an eye on various disorders, I greatly appreciate thorough testing

With the last update the device works great , compared the device readings wtiht he Garmin and it was good the heart rate sensor was a bit slow but it was accurate , measured the oxygen along with a specific oxygen device and it was very very accurate.

This is the first Fitbit I have used. It has some new features ukposts.infoUgkxbkrje8Y7BaqRkAjimw-55ajvVo7RbcIp and I like the information that it gives me.I think the phone app could be designed to be a bit more accommodating, as it can be confusing to use. The rubber band is comfortable, and normally I do not like rubber bands for my watches, but this is comfortable.I am looking forward to seeing if this helps me stay accountable in my fitness endeavors!My only gripe is the box was very damaged when it arrived, however, the tracker is performing perfectly!

At First, this is a really well done review, you can see, that there went so much effort in it, really good👍 I just want to say something to the heart rate, I have compared it to an Apple Watch, and the Mi Band 6 have gotten pretty similar results in the heart rate, maybe they have done now a Update, because I think the Apple Watch has a pretty accurate tracking. In my comparison was the Mi Band only 2 or 3 beats behind the Apple Watch and sometimes it was exactly timed with the Apple Watch.

I also have garmin venu2. i feel i want to sell it off because its apps only shows sleep tracking graph for 1d and 7d only. No way can see sleep tracking for 30d or 1 month. I watch this video because i am searching for garmin venu2 solution for its failure to provide such basic data presentation

I have both the Mi Band 6 and Inspire 2 (as well as a 2013 Fitbit Flex). Overall, I kinda like the Inspire 2 a bit more (due to the Fitbit app though), but many parts of the actual tracker I like more on the Mi Band 6, bigger better colored screen, better UI (you actually see multiple apps on the screen), better battery life by at least a few days, more features, you can check your weather, set alarms directly on the watch itself (Inspire 2 needs alarms set from app), change music through the Mi Band, etc... Fitbits don't start competing with the Mi Band 6 from a feature standpoint until their $150ish offerings like the Charge 4/soon 5 and Luxe. I also so far find the Mi Band to have better step accuracy, as moving my hand like picking up a glass of water adds 20 steps from the Inspire 2 (I think it gets better longer I wear it, plus I am trying to see if setting it to dominant hand then wearing it on non dominant can help lower its sensitivity). But, the Inspire 2 and Flex (both of which get total time very similar to each other) have amazing sleep tracking, to the point where the Mi Band 6 adds another 30-45-60 minutes of sleep that I know I'm not getting. Fitbits deduct tossing and turning sleep, Mi Band does not, so I think that's the difference. However there is an assisted sleep tracking option that uses more battery that I think will help with sleep accuracy of the Mi Band 6. As for the app, the Mi Fit is pretty good, however it's no where near as feature rich as Fitbit's app, like I can track calories consumed easily via Fitbit, literally search up any food and its nutritional facts will be there.

It's cool to see someone taking a scientific approach to the subject. Your data is much more convincing than that of those who always just read out the package details. You put a lot of effort into it and I think it's good that you give sources, backgrounds and limitations. This shows your scientific approach. Is it possible there's a difference in the results for the heart rate, sleep, and SpO2 values because of how you wear your Mi Band 6? Sometimes, it tells me to 'wear tightly' and 'move screen upwards' which I wonder if that actually affects a bit of the readings. Great video! Subscribed. I just picked up a Mi Smart Band 6 myself. =)

How does a smart watch detect stages of sleep without monitoring brain activity? Damn that's amazing even though it's not fully accurate

Also are there any watches that match high end sleep trackers (edit:fitbit does pretty well) ? I personally only want to know general overview of how much I slept, when I fall asleep, etc... I don't expect a $40 fitness tracker to be spot on and read my brain.

@@cinemapigeon4898 Fitbit does well but reading user reviews their quality control and reliability is suspect and I'm not buying something to break later.

I’m so glad I saw this review. I was debating between this, the Fitbit inspire 2 and the Fitbit charge 4. I already own the mi band 5 and the sleep accuracy is quite horrible. I had zero sleep last night but the band recorded 7h of light sleep and 4 min of wake time. To me, accuracy is everything. I have severe insomnia due to ptsd, so keeping my sleep and health in check is crucial. I know a watch can’t do all the work, but it’s nice to buy something that suppose to work. Thanks for all the reviews on all the watches. Still debating on which watch to get with the most accurate/close to accurate sleep, steps and heart rate monitoring. Keep up the amazing work. We all really appreciate you, and thankful that you can help us save some money! 🙏

Loved this review! Although keep in mind that we are comparing the miband 6 (50$) to specialized trackers so all in all taking info from the miband with a grain of salt isn't actually that bad :)

great review as always. appreciate the amount of effort and enthusiasm you put into these videos. A video summarizing/comparing all of these devices would be very helpful perhaps you could list the top 5 devices for each of the criteria e.g. sleep tracking, HR monitoring step tracking
