Very close fight. Baluta was more aggressive but that does not equal a win.

Screaming and throwing shots looks good, and respect to the heart; but means nothing if its hitting glove or air, meanwhile Conlan threw less but made clean contact, and actually put more hurt on him, kinda lack luster no doubt, but a very solid performance.

I think this fight was perfect for Michael conlons carear, a nice tough awkward fighter make his stamina perfect for his next apponent

Conlan says he needs to improve. He's been saying that the last couple of fights. He's not some young fella anymore, he's 30 this year. He needs to really step it up otherwise he can forget about being a world champion.

Baluta was more aggressive but that doesn't mean he won. Conlon blocked a lot of his punches.

100% Conlan was the better boxer. Both punches and defense were on point but what a fight. I believe Michael Conlan will have all belts soon. Eire Abu !

Thing is Conlan has the skills to keep it long, stay on the outside and win decisions. He doesn't do that though as he's trying to be the macho man and trade with fighters. He buys in to all thus "Celtic Warrior" BS. Did the exact same thing with Nitkin. He's not a Ricky Hatton or a Carl Frampton. He can't get away with that.

Baluta coudn't punch through a paper bag and Conlan still avoided trading with him. Very frustrating to watch.

i feel like Conlan missed so many chances to counter Baluta, when he was just coming forward with double or even triple straight punches not protecting his chin.. a good counter puncher would definitely knocked out Baluta

Conlan needs to work on his range, there are a lot of fight ending opportunities for Conlan to hit his opponent and end the fight but he squanders them. That will be the difference between a Canelo and a very good boxer like Conlan. Think he needs some new coaching

@@den20dgo Yes, 'robbery' is essentially a way of saying "the other man won the fight but I'm too salty to admit it so let me lie and call it a robbery". I always thought the idea of boxing was to punch your opponent cleanly and not be punched. Some people think punching nothing equals a clean punch.........
