I wasn't a Jordan fan back in the day as a teen. He denied all my players of the 90s that I supported from achieving glory.. He was so damn good. Played the big moments like no one else... That ability to levitate and almost change decision and survey his options in mid air I have never comprehended... People can argue statistics to make claims for other players, but his overall record and aura has this guy in a universe all his own... What a player....!
@8darkknight472
@8darkknight472 2 роки тому
Real talk. You are saying facts. Im from Chicago. But I rooted for Pistons and Magic back then because of Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway. Shoot. Still, Jordan was not having any of it. I never was a Jordan fan. But I will admit he is the GOAT MJ23👑 . And he did not need a superteam to accomplish anything.

You should get an award for honesty and being real. There is no universe where Lebron is even near MJ. It's much easier to win a title than ten consecutive scoring titles. You can sit on the bench and get a ring. Lebron is a forward and still only has one scoring title.
@dc4690
@dc4690 2 роки тому
Bro there’s an entire first ballot HOF career separating them... 2 championships,2 finals mvps,1 league mvp,3 steals titles,9 scoring titles,3 all def 1st teams,1 DPOY award,2 dunk titles and a national championship...And yes the national championship counts because it’s the basketball HOF,not the nba HOF. So,there’s that much separation between MJ & lebrons career accomplishments,and lebron has played 6 more seasons (so far) then MJ. But anyways,thats just one way of showing how it’s not even close.And how this ‘debate’ is clearly a media manufactured,agenda driven farce.It has been since day one.

It's amazing how Jordan had quite different phases of his career and dominated in each one. Just in a different way. Early on he was relentlessly aggressive, then here he was just an all around master of the game, then the second 3 peat he toned the physical aggressiveness down and was more of a cerebral force, It's like he adapted and evolved in ways that enabled him to stay at the apex of basketball for so long. His career was just an incredible display of greatness.

@legacyXplore
@legacyXplore 4 роки тому
This was the very start of the summer before my freshman year of high school. I taped each game on the vcr and literally spent every single day that summer watching each game and pausing and rewinding play after play from Jordan. I did it so much the vcr tapes wore out. I would do chair sits in my room the entire time I watched with the chair close enough to push vcr buttons and then when I couldn't wait any longer would run directly outside and practice the moves over and over for a couple hours then go right back in to watch and do chair sits. I didn't just do this for a week or two but the ENTIRE summer. My mom thought I was crazy. That was until school started and that Oct basketball started. I made varsity and ended up starting after a couple games and went on to be the all-time leading scorer at my high school and held the record from 1996 to around 2011 or so. I also ended up having around a 40 inch vertical from all those chair sits. For the young ones reading every word of this is true and if you want something bad enough just know you can usually get it with nothing more than sheer work and determination. Thanks for posting. I have not seen these in years and watching brought back some incredible memories and emotions. Michael Jordan in this series embodies the closest anyone will ever get to a perfect basketball player. Coming up during his playing days was a gift to not only future athletes but fans alike.

Russell Westbrook has the tenacity and competitive but doesn't have the offensive game and isn't the best backcourt defender also. Nor is he clutch like M.J. ...M.J. was more than a competitor and great athlete. He was SELF MOTIVATED LIKE A MOFO . And was a elite athlete and CLUTCH. @mskidi
@mskidi 4 роки тому
Main reason for Jordan being considered as the goat from those who saw him live, and those who have taken the time to study film, is the fact that he was the goat. Look at this shit, this is beyond absurd. He guarded the much bigger Magic Johnson for 7/10s of the series (dont believe the bullshit that Pippen took that task, watch the full games), picking him up FULL COURT. I shit you not, he was pressing Magic fucking Johnson from one basket the other for the whole series. He was drawing double and tripple teams for the whole series and throwing laser beam passes to his teamates under the basket, averaging more than 11 assists per game. ACTUAL ASSISTS, as in giving the ball to his teamates under the basket to lay it in uncontested (not passing it to someone 35ft from the basket to make a defended 3....). He was scoring in everyway possible with his right, with his offhand, midrange, longrange, in the paint, posting up, off the ball, off the dribble, crossing over with the left, crossing over with the right, stepping back, beating a double team, beating a tripple team, beating four at once, averaging 31 ppg (bare in mind Bulls were scoring 100 ppg, compared to today where they score 120 in the finals) and as much as the next two Bulls (Pippen and Grant) on fucking 56% AS A TWO GUARD. He was making all the clutch shots, including the one that tied game 3 over Divac. On top of that, he scored *13 consecutive baskets in a game* (all time NBA Finals record). And of course, as per usual, he provided us with highlights for all time (as the famous reverse hand lay up). And he did all that, with the outmost finesse. This is beyond absurd, this is unfathomable. The level of activity, of stamina (there is nobody today that could defend someone basket to basket for a whole series, let alone do that and combine it with what Jordan did offensively), of efficiency, of leadership, of artistry, of skill, of imagination, all combined and manifested at the max and leading to victory. If Jordan hadnt happened, one couldn have imagined it was possible to play basketball like that. If film wasnt available, descriptions couldn do it justice.

Passing, not playmaking, is easy man. Jordan could avoid 2-3 players at a time and put the ball inside a narrow basket better than anybody else in history, throwing that shit close to someone's hands should have been easier than walking to him.

Michael Jordan shows in this game why he is the greatest of all time. He never takes breaks on either offense or defense. He left it all on the floor and he did it every one of those six times that he went to the finals. Guys like LeBron take vacations on defense even in the finals. LeBron will never be on Michael Jordans level.

Does anyone actually believe that if Jordan felt he needed to be the best passer in the game in order to win, he wouldn't have been the best passer in the game... every bit if not better than LeBron? I for one wouldn't bet against him. Most underrated passer of all time as is.

Well if someone challenged him he could. When he played point the league shouted "unfair". As what Doc Rivers back then said, it's a scary thought. It's best to compare Lebron to Magic and Bird. Jordan focused on scoring and added everything else. Lebron focuses on passing first, scoring second, rebounding third, depending upon need. Different players, different roles. You can compare Jordan to Elgin Baylor or Wilt Chamberlain, both of whom focused on scoring.
