You can tell that Mike Malone cares about his players. It's extremely important for any organization to have a leader who cares about the people in the organization. This team has a lot of talent, but it also has management that sets a very strong example for everyone on the team. The team also has players who have very strong winning attitudes. The guys help each other out. They support each other. They don't throw each other under the bus. All the guys on the team have really good attitudes. That includes MPJ, Gordon, KCP, Bruce Brown, Christian Braun, Jamal, Jokic, etc. The guys really do work hard, don't feel sorry for themselves, and work to stay focused. I think it helps a lot that Jokic has a very strong work ethic and Murray is very competitive and determined. There are several guys who hustle very hard on defense, and they've lifted the defensive standards that every guy on the team sets for themselves. Denver will be a top team in the NBA for years unless they get unlucky with injuries.

Ppl gives statements like "this is why you dont give up on your coach ". Every coach has his story. Im sorry but Coach Malone is getting better year after year. They missed the playoffs in 2018. They lost in the semis game 7 against Portland in 2019. They lost against the Lakers in 2020. Then Murray got injured. When you lose your 2nd best player, you have the right to do it again. They did compete in 2021 and 2022. Now, with an healthy team and the players which they acquired, they won the chip !. It is not just about the coach but the organisation putting a team to compete for the chip and not just waiting on Murray to be back in 100 %.
