I think this was game was a key one for UCLA. Michigan State played hard and that forced UCLA to play at least as hard to pull out the win. That same mentality has carried over to every game since for them.

Bruins come up with the best win from all season against a quality Big Ten opponent. .Down but never out.Just kept fighting to the overtime.Jaquez and Juzhang came up big time throughout the game.NBA scouts will be watching Jaquez for what he does;defensively and offensively(lots of energy at both ends of the court).

This game played out how I thought it would play out, but with the teams flipped. I thought UCLA would have the 10+ halftime lead and then lose. They had been doing a lot of that. I was rooting for UCLA because my brother is at Michigan, and I live in the LA area and one of my aunts went to UCLA.

Izzo said before the tournament started that they wasn't scared of anybody and that they had played against the best all year long in the big 10. lol i guess maybe the big 10 didn't prepare them the way he had thought it did, lol down goes the 1st big 10 team. The missed box out on the missed UCLA free throw was the play of the game. Sparty has to box the guy out they do that they win the game cause UCLA would foul them there & we know how great Izzo teams are at making free throws.instead UCLA gets the & 1 to tie the game. That’s under 35 seconds remaining!!!!
