He was crying. There are few things to make a man more upset than losing a child. It's immediate rage ,horror, and the greatest sadness you can imagine... all at once. I've had many of these interactions, and I greatly respect people who can understand and reconise that. Mike was ready to die or kill someone else. He needed to leave, reconised it, and did it. It was incredibly emotionally mature.

I think Mike looked at him after he said “I couldn’t handle it” and remembered he was just another cold zoo-goer that didn’t actually give a rip about him or his situation or his feelings. Edit: I finally found the full interview, and they got with Mike before the left and Mine said “it’s in, I gotta grow up and stop crying”. And the interviewer guy said “it’s okay Mike, you’re allowed to cry.” He was actually just embarrassed, and felt vulnerable.

Mike I'm praying for you, as someone who lost a son back in 2019 it is the hardest thing that can happen to you. When I got the call from my ex-wife I was devastated and the manager and the others were standing right there as we were doing cleaning at the job and they all heard the call, since I was the only one cleaning I went back to work and they all said no no no you got to go, so I got out out the hole and walked to the bay door and looked up at the sun with tears in my eyes and said Lord guess you needed him more, but Lord thank you for letting me see my son the day before and letting us pray together that day. Mike may God touch and heal your heart, i had my time with drugs and alcohol after a wife took my daughter from me and didn't get to see her after that, was in my early 20s and when i turned 27 i stopped all that and realized that is never the answer to anything in life for me or anyone, drugs and alcohol destroys never fixes.

Scared the piss outra him, then shook his hand like a man. Love Mike for everything he is, has been through, and has risen above.

Mike's a good man. He wanted the interviewer to leave, but saw that his seat was soaked, so he did the gracious thing.

@@bonniejosavland3227I'm so sorry for your aunt! Kinda reminds me of my grandma. She lost her mom when she was really young and her dad married soon after to a woman they loved. She died and the next step mom treated them like trash. Her dad then died. She got married and had 12 children. 2 died as infants,1 died just shy of his 3rd birthday and 1 died at the age of 20 when he drowned. When my dad,the baby of the 12 kids, was a teenager her husband died. She would end up losing 2 more children before she passed away. One from cancer and one from a heart attack. So literally half of her children died before her. I don't know how that woman got up in the morning! 💔
