When I saw the old villages I died of nostalgia. I cannot remember when I started playing minecraft but I think it was somewhere around 2012 - 2013.

Fun fact: in earlier versions of minecraft better armour didn’t give better protection it just increased durability!

i started playing minecraft in 2012, and i was 5, my sister and her best friend introduced me, the last few years i wasn’t playing it but now you can’t get me off it, it’s crazy how much it’s changed, i love it.

the old texture especially in the nether is so nostalgic....im remembering everyday after school coming home playing mincraft with my brother. and also waiting for updates staring at the screen looking for new things in the worlds. going in creative looking at the new updates. now everything looks so full. every update there are so many new things. i hope i never get bored of minecraft!

re: talking about how the strongholde in the older chunks must of despawned: since it's a structure that already spawned in, i dont think it could despawn? so you probably could of went back and used that one. i think that either the chunks it was in got corrupted enough that the game stopped processing it was a strongehold, even though it would still function as one (as long as the end portal blocks are facing the right way it'll work, which they should be in that stronghold as i dont think any updated changed the needed orientation), or the new chunks generated another stronghold that was closer to the village than the old one was.

You should have tried finding more gold in the very early versions of the game, as then you could turn it into blocks of gold and craft notch apples. Those could be crafted back in the day
