We decided to call this series Minecraft Manhunt. This video is a different rendition of it, where there are not FOUR hunters but FIVE instead of just one.
This is a new Minecraft but, 1.16 challenge that we have decided to try. I try to beat the game, while my friend George AND my friend Sapnap AND my friend BadBoyHalo AND my friend Antfrost AND my friend awesamdude tries to prevent me from doing it. It's a race, and it's super intense and we had a lot of laughs. I love doing these challenges.
If this video gets 2,000,000 likes we'll do a rematch!

It's actually really funny watching sam and dream realize what the other is doing and panicking. Like the respawn mechanic of the dragon and dream panicking, and sam panicking about dream cheesing the dragon, it's just funny seeing everyone else get confused and them panic. Sam is such a good addition to the group

It's two years later and *man,* the whole combo of them thinking they've cornered Dream and know where the stronghold is, only to have their day instantly ruined by him teleporting, entering the stronghold, going to the end, and then setting up an instant kill for the dragon was a cinematic masterpiece. Immediately the game flipped over onto their heads.

This series got more and more unbelievable as time went on. Like, you used to not jumpcut in the middle of chases or fights, but now you jumpcut when you're cornered by two people on half a heart. Why? That's the kinda escape I *want* to see.

I just have to say this. Dream might be one of not the smartest Minecraft players out there. With his quick reflexes and his quick thinking, he always manages to outsmart them. I’ve watched every single video of this series (which is genius by the way) and I’m never not entertained, amazed , amused and all of the above. You’re doing good Dream.

Sam is such a great addition to the manhunt. He has the technical knowledge the others lack. Like, in his first manhunt he had the idea to revive the dragon, in his second Dream won because of the flying machine Sam taught him, and now he was the only one who knew what Dream was doing with the dragon

true man, true. i didn't know myself that the water damage applied to the dragon too. But one thing, the water does like a damage of between half a heart to one heart to all the end creatures. so if he didn't destroy all the crystals, then wouldn't the dragons healing power be higher than the damage by the water??? unless im missing something lol

I love the "in-between" moments of the manhunts. Like, whenever Dream kills all of them and so the hunters are trying to get all their stuff back and restock while Dream is like, silently escaping/plotting or whatever. That's just when all the funny conversations start up, like Sapnap and George fighting like brothers or Ant casually getting a cat or something (timestamp - 9:58). I just think it's a really funny contrast, especially after the intense chase that just happened.

@@Nooks73 He set up an ender pearl in the water using soul sand to keep it afloat, then a daylight sensor triggered the trapdoor when it changed to night, causing it to hit the pearl and teleport dream there.

@@Nooks73 Its called a stasis chamber. You put water, then soul sand. The soul sand pushes anything in the water up. You throw an ender pearl in the water, and it gets pushed up the water. Then, you place a trap door. When the trap door shuts, it hits the pearl, which teleports Dream. He used a daylight sensor which activates the trap door, which teleported him

This was honestly the most stressful manhunt so far. All the low health situations, him using sweet berries for food most of the run, it was just so nerve-racking. I just thought he was gonna lose this one from the start because the video was only thirty minutes. And I DEFINITELY thought he was gonna lose when he wasn’t even in the end and there was like not even two minutes left in the video. I really didn’t expect him to insta-kill the dragon. Also that pearl stasis chamber that activated when it turned night was absolutely GENIUS. also I just thought the moss play in the huge cave was just funny. All the hunters came to him in full iron and he just got rid of them all like little cockroaches XD.

the very small detail at 22:58. dream was running into a soul sand valley and awesomedude said “i have soul speed”. that made dream turn around from the soul sand valley and go the other way. if dream hadn’t known awesomedude had soul speed, dream could’ve died.

Setting up that ender pearl and trap door with a daylight sensor to lead the hunters away and then teleport back to the stronghold was pure genius.

@@erinclarke5316 The end pearl and the trapdoor thing is called a stasis chamber, it allows to know if you are alive or they can teleport you back by clicking the trap door as when a pearl hits something solid it teleports you back. Dream put a daylight sensor and put it in a a cave with a hole at the top. So when the sun hits the sensor, it will activate the trap door and send him back.

Like half the video Dream was on half a heart. That's just insane. And the end pearl stasis dupe, that was epic lol - I was thinking that if you built a tower up and then dissapeared they wouldn't check the compass but tower up only to find you were not there, unfortuante you didn't have enough time for that.

@@noecovolan4317 The ender pearl teleports you only once it hits a solid block, not water. The daylight sensor kept that trapdoor open during the day, so the ender pearl stayed floating on the water. When it got dark enough, the daylight sensor closed the trapdoor, the ender pearl landed on it, and pulled dream back.

The ending really shows Sam's contribution to the hunters: he is a near genius in minecraft mechanics, bugs, and exploits. This comes with him being quite redstone savy, but also allows him to see the tricks dream had lined up before they are properly set up. The fact he instantly knew what was up at the end without a doubt made it harder on dream, even though they ultimately failed.
