Minimoog Livestream (Dub Techno session with all sounds from the Minimoog)

An original vintage Minimoog synthesizer found its way into my studio. I am going to create a Dub Techno track / pattern and all sounds are going to be from the Minimoog. No samples, no presets, just creating sounds from the oscillators and filter.

How absolutely amazing and wonderfully lucky. i have had 3 in my time and loved them. Had to sell my last one 4 years ago due to hard times. I regret it but hey that is just how it goes sometimes. Great to hear what you do with this amazing synth and one day I will have another.

I quite enjoy the idea of going into and out of Bitwig and Ableton. It allows fresh thought and appreciation of features in each and naturally the sum of all parts is greater than the total. What a beautiful sound design and arrangement session. MORE PLEASE!

My, your Minimoog looks MINT! I had a Minimoog SN# 6200-ish in 1975, pretty sure yours is from 1974, but got here by way of a time machine? I currently own a 2016 Reissue, it is as good as my original.

Du hast absolut Recht, ich vermisse ebenfalls ein Tuner-Device in Bitwig und dass schon seit Jahren. Es gibt zwar entsprechende VSTs, aber immer erst das Plugin zum Tunen öffnen zu müssen, ist nervig. Die Lösung in Ableton Live ist perfekt. Warum es das bis heute nicht in BWS gibt, bleibt schleierhaft.

Martin, I hope you're aware that the old Moog S-trigger sounds the note when the trigger input is zero volts. To use it with a modern sequencer, you will need to run the gate through an inverter. Back in the 80s I had to ask a friend to design one, but I expect you've got a module in the Eurorack that will do the job,

I would think Moog could tell you the exact day it was made with that serial number?

I asked them, but they don't have any information. "moog" from the 70s is technically a different company than today. They went out of business and Bob founded a new company later.

I may have missed it if you did explain Martin, but is there a reason you used Ableton? Most of the recent videos of yours I've watched you have been using Bitwig.

I did not use audio recording, sample slicing and drum racks in Bitwig before. I knew, that I would need these features a lot to create this session, so I decided to use Ableton again because I am very familiar with it.
