Mirjam von Rohr 🇨🇭of CrossFit Ouf posted the fastest score worldwide in Open Workout 24.1 for the women, completing 90 dumbbell snatches and 90 burpees in 5:39.

From judges perspective: burpees are totally fine. It says chest to the ground and not rest on the ground! Incredible athlete.

Chest to ground, not collar bone. I didn't see any no rep burpees and her judge is a Functional Fitness World Champion who knows a thing or two about what a competition speed rep looks like. MINDBOGGLING performance both from Mirjam and Colin - wishing them both best of luck for a fantastic season! 👏 👍💪✨️❤️‍🔥

@@oppenheimer11 CrossFit has tons of variations of burpees. If you read the standards for 24.1, they didn’t note that they needed to stand up at the top or full extension. They only noted that both feet needed to be off the ground. Example most burpee box jump overs also do not require you to stand up.

@@y_an242 sorry for my ignorance but I'm new to crossfit, but do you mean when they stand up they have to jump with both feet? I saw video where athlete stand up with just one fit that doesn't touch the ground

@@oppenheimer11 it’s ok. It takes a while to get the language down. As for burpees in 24.1, the standards are strict and if you don’t follow folks will be disqualified. Everyday workouts at a gym is based on the programing.

I have met her a lot on the Hyrox and DEKA Spartan circuit. She’s 1m55 or something like that. She is also a really nice person and an incredible athlete, Myriam is so strong. I’m always impressed by her performances and crazy trainings she does.

Whey protein make sure it has minimal ingredients and is high in protein- the best ones only require 1 scoop- Andrew Hiller did a great video on protein powder, creatine x endurance or on brand, water, eat your body weight in protein grams, day in the life of Josh Bridges and what he eats is a good example of diet. Fitfoodieselma has great videos on how to get 100 grams of protein in your diet. Good luck!

Supplements are definitely not going to be a defining factor in whether or not you reach the world championships. They can help you but there are many other more important questions you should be asking yourself, such as: how is your diet in terms of enough calories and macros? How’s your sleep quality and recovery? How long have you been training for and how effective is your training program if you want to compete? No supplement is going to beat having these three things taken care of.

Taller athletes have an advantage only on wall balls and rope climbs. Shorter athletes have superior advantage whenever there's a workout for time

Thats an amazing performance but I belive the majority of the burpees are no reps. Standart sais chest to the ground and thats what I am missing but please correct me if I am wrong.

The front angle, of the shot, is probably the 2nd worst angle to judge the burpee from. One can see that when she is more at an angle to the camera her chest is down. Trust is given to the onsite judge who has a superior angle.

looking to her speed in the "go down" fase for her it was more difficult to not touch the chest than to touch it and the frontal angle it is not the best to judge burpees
