There are some things the Cybertruck does that I hope catches on with other manufacturers. Specifically, the headlight placement. It's nice and low, which is great because every truck has their headlights at EXACTLY FUCKING EYE LEVEL with every other driver on the road that's not also in a truck.

@@LukeIngels no it's not. For that reason I keep the normal low and fog lights high to minimize blinding but also letting me see the road. The cybertruck is great that it has brights but facing downward. Yet! My first goal (when I get mine) will be to learn it inside and out. Like every other piece of hardware I own, it'll be fully custom. People doing the same will inevitably be in high demand as Cybertrucks start to roll (or limp) into shops. I can tell you I'm particularly excited that it can not only run my welder, but is _literally made of blank stainless panels!_ I think people are vastly underestimating the versatility of that, and the degree of customizability this will bring. *You can magnet/weld things to the truck!* Cybertruck might accidentally become a Maker fad! While I can only imagine in anticipation of the Artist's visions it'll enable, for me it's going to be a utility workhorse. Winches, boxes, benches, etc... MKHD, thank you for your review of the Cybertruck at this point. It was most informational, and it will be interesting to see the continued development of this truck in the future. The Cybertruck would not be my first choice and I have enjoyed driving the Ford F150. Being made of stainless steel, if you accidently hit someone, even going relatively slow, on the corner... Hell, most new cars sold are crazy tall right now and many SUVs have completely vertical front ends, so passenger cars regulations have little to do with actual pedestrian safety in this reality of exploiting the legal loopholes. The windshield is huge, but truck windshields are huge anyway and this is at least not too upright. Owners of big windshields (like big RVs) put transparent PPF foil on them. @@pdcichosz - It's not the height of the front end. Cars have to have crumple zones and so forth. You cannot have a vehicle which is basically a stainless steel wedge. You can easily Google better information but it is also the weight which means you cannot drive it on a normal driving licence. The EU doesn't want 3.5 tons of stainless steel with no crumple zone smashing into the back of little family cars. As far as I heard it is already known it won't pass EU standards of safety. On a personal note, I'm not sure it is going to live up to the standards of an actual truck and he's been beaten to market with an electric truck. I think Tesla might be in trouble. We are a 6 figure income couple and had very little saved and not much cash lying around the preverbal". '...don't have $500 for an emergency" that was us. The big thing was debt all kinds of it, cars mortgage (although our home isn't a high price one), student loans for our kids, and of course credit cards. One day we just got sick of being broke and went total scorched earth and became frugal overnight. Paid it all off, it took almost 5 years but now we have no debt and this year our savings rate is 50% on basically the same income that had us perpetually broke. So for us it is mainly staying out of debt and watching our spending, at first it was a real effort to save in our HISA and 401Ks but now it's actually fun watching our money grow. No car or vacation or neighborhood is worth being broke or financially unstable.

It's frustrating how everyone is ignoring the fact that these larger vehicles are far more dangerous to pedestrians. When hit by a car people get pushed under the car instead of over the hood. Those sharp corners on the front should be illegal. It's incredibly immoral to make a dangerous car like that just to suit Musk's vanity. It doesn't improve the car's performance or add new features. I just don't want to get run over by a massive useless vehicle.

I find it hilarious that all these creators don’t have a thing to say about the racism that’s being peddled by the maker of this truck…..Not a word just crickets😂This just shows that they’re so afraid to lose early access to the tech and other things they review and get paid for they’re willing to stay silent🙂I wonder if Marques would say anything if it was aimed towards the black community🤔I get it…. it’s a not my race not my problem thing.

The fact that Marques isn't going nuts over this thing and actually giving us a balanced review of the vehicle, with some pros and some cons. That's a pro. I know other car/tech-reviewers that are gonna be simping like hell over this thing (finding no flaws) and then F150-ganggangers that are gonna hate on it for no reason.
@alexmayer8943
@alexmayer8943 5 місяців тому
you cant find something you're not looking for. There are biased people out there and there are also people who don't care about anything else. Everything in this world has flaws, you just have to look for them. Don't blame the reviewer who only says positive things. And also, Marques hasn't said one thing that i found as a flaw for me that is. For some people some things are deal breakers but then again if you want something you have to accept whatever it comes with especially when you've been made aware a tons about it.

I believe is not balanced, he is focus on many irrelevant details for some reason. He has not in favor of Tesla lately for some reason. Feel bad for that. I found many other reviews today with plenty of information extra. There are hundred of very interesting details. He is trying to show some details and minimize them almost all the time, LIke is ok, I will not do this just because it could break, total refraction when talking about the massive winshield, minimize the extraordinary things when compare with other brands, avoid topics about safety, durability, and so on. He has the budged and skills to do a way better review and for some "unknow reason" he didn't.

I think he's glossing over a lot of the things that make this a form over function buy and an infefficient use of resources (it's slow and inefficient given the power train used, and has little utility given the enormous size) -- in order not to offend the hand that feeds him. Expected more simping though and the gent is charming and informative to watch. There are worse way of making money I guess...

It does seem like there is a LOT to re-learn about driving when it comes to this truck. As far as the frozen door goes I don't think there will be much to be concerned about. If the door is frozen on a traditional vehicle, you're still facing the same problem.

Other electric opening doors have a pin that holds the door open until the door has been manually opened and then closed again. It makes pinching hard to impossible. No idea if Tesla did this though

Would've loved to have seen a camera angle shot from the drivers perspective regarding visibility. The super long A pillars look like they would create troublesome blind spots. It was mentioned that visibility is good, but show us that too.

I would be interested in seeing how it hauls things like boats, campers, trailers and ice castles. 11,000 towing capacity is pretty damn good, but it would be interesting to see what hauling things does to the range, how it handles with a trailer, etc.
