I am 50 years old now but I remember being 7 or 8 yr old at a Jays game down at Exhibition Stadium, Boston was in town. The bullpens were along the foul lines and we had front row seats on the Red Sox side. I remember my dad asking politely for a ball to the bullpen catcher/back up. My dad was obviously trying to get a ball for me and I remmeber being excited. My dad would ask and the guy kept saying hold on, just one sec kinda thing and he never came through with a ball lol. His name was Gary Allenson. I guess I will always remember that day.... fans booed him lol.

I've been an Angels fan since they came in the league in '61; I was six. We Angels fans have been so fortunate to have Mike Trout don that uniform. I don't know if he'll be back at the end of his contract, I'm so hoping, though, but if what other team is lucky to sign him, the fans are going to see what we Angel fans have seen these past few years. Believe me, folks, he's worth the price of whatever the ticket costs. I would expect to see that team's season ticket sales to quadruple that year and the advertisers to pay almost any price to be part of the phenomena. And those teams know it now. Until then, GO MIKE AND GO ANGELS!

At times I truly wish I had the skill or talent (and years back, I'm 40 lol!) to be a professional athlete. Not for the money or even the notoriety but to be able to make someone's day, week, month, year, or even life just by smiling at them and sharing a moment of my time with them. That has to feel SOOO AMAZING, to be able to give someone that much joy and happiness just by being a good/nice person to them. Me, I'm nobody, and I'll probably always be nobody, so I'll never get to know what that feels like. I envy those athletes, but not for the reasons most people do.

Rest in Peace, Trout.
