Looks like an online multiplayer real-time strategy action game. You run around the city buying properties and making money.

It's the depressingly realistic abstraction of real life of the monopoly board game, but now with bright colors and more chaos in order to more accurately depict the way capitalism makes terrible things look like fun.

@Kyle If it took you 3 hours to play a game of Monopoly, you were not playing it right.

I like the board game. I feel like a lot of people don’t do enough deals, auctions, and trades during the game, and that’s why people think it’s boring.

@@WideMouth plus they make the game slow when they can't get a deal done. It's fun to put some rules in place. Like not over doing a deal. Some people try to make a deal that will make it so someone has like 100$ left. I hate that. So it's easier to just have so rules in place to make it fun and keep the game going a little faster.

@@WideMouth Most people don't do auctions at all. They also try to incorporate some kind of effect on Free Parking, typically having whoever lands there collect any taxes from earlier in the game. The reason Monopoly games last hours is because people put in house rules that circulate money back into the game, when the ruleset was specifically designed to work the opposite way. Play with the default rules, and you'll be done in less than an hour.

Can you even compare this to monopoly? What I grasped from this trailer, it is a completely different genre and playstyle so the only similarity that comes to mind is the theme and setting

@@charissawilkinson9270 🤦‍♂️…. Why would we heavily tax/fee startups/small business… who said anything about doing that? You fail to understand the entire point of the game if Monopoly. It’s about economic momentum and how unregulated capitalism is inherently to end in an oligarchy or eventually a single entity controlling everything and everyone. One person on top, everyone else at the bottom, nobody in the middle. That’s unregulated capitalism. That’s the game of Monopoly. Regulate/govern the rich. It should be EASY to startup, and HARD to become exceptionally wealthy.
